I totally forgot about this.

Last night I got roped into helping out with this super rich woman's b'day party. (Still drunk from football, but I made it happen.)

The rev himself was there for some reception for some organization. I was doopty dooing around and he was taking a picture flanked by 3 girl. 2 black on one side and a white one on his right side. He grabs my arm and says "I need to even this out. Get in the picture."

1. I'm not amused by the Rev. not really at all.
2. Drex will die if she knew I took a picture with him

And that's that.

The Rev. Dr. Al Sharpton once came to UGA to speak at the Demosthenian Society reception--the oldest debate social in the country--regarding Bush and environmentalism, racism, and I think facism. Well anyway, I tried so hard to get tickets, because they sold out in minutes, but I was unsuccessful. Can you imagine how much funn that would have been?

I adore Jesse, and i think Al is a hoot too. both men have good hearts in my opinion, and really care about people. so, I can honestly say they are an inspiration in my life. even if they are quite funny characters.

Jesse blew me away when he did this years ago on SNL:

Then I think a framed pic of you and the Reverend would be a perfect Christmas gift. Memorable if nothing else.

:funn: Let's put it this way. Drex loved the picture of Shepard Smith and me...not so much the Rev.

Perhaps the good Reverend Jackson rubs some folks the wrong way because he, like so many other public figures, can tend to be a bit opportunistic in terms of grabbing the spotlight etc. And he, like a few other *male* public figures, seems to have had a bit of an eye for the ladies.
But I think he has done far more good than bad, not the least of which is reading Green Eggs and Ham on live television. ;-)

Just don't get him to prepare eggs and ham for you without keeping a close eye on him.

you have some good points. but I like these reverends who are oh so human. it's the white reverends issuing judgements against entire groups of people that really turn my stomach.

Oh Kimmi you should have turned the tables on him!

As the picture was being taken you should have given the Rev's butt a little squeeze.

The photo would have turned out hilarious.

This would only be possible with the obligatory cash at the finish line.

...or, if they could get a vote at the finish line, or photos to go into the press.
