It seems to me that the reason that Trump has evaded obstruction of justice so far is that the whole atmosphere of his administration has been obstruction of justice. It's like "you can't see the forest for the trees". It's gaslighting to the tenth degree. It's like looking for a glass of water in a swimming pool. Now, when Congress is finally exercising it's constitutional duty of oversight of the executive branch by issuing subpoenas, and Trump is refusing to allow government employees from submitting to these subpoenas, he is truly and officially obstructing justice. He is truly and officially in contempt of court. I think the subpoenas to get his tax returns are perhaps a bridge too far, but the subpoenas to get information on why some people got security clearances, while they repeatedly failed background checks, is truly legitimate and a real concern for our national security. If he is allowed to subvert that process, that would signal the end of our justice system.

Public hearings are required. When I was in college during Watergate we kept the tv on during our architecture class. Because of these hearings the nation was forced to confront the crimes of the president and his men. The evidence was so compelling Nixon was forced to resign. Of course we have a different Republican Party now, one that is hardly recognizable compared to the GOP of yesterday and we know they will do nothing. If anyone needs guidance just ask what is the law or flip the script and askWWRD? What Would Republicans Do? We heard impeachment whispers during a scandal free Obama Presidency.
