That impeachment proceedings are open to all of congress and the public. Dems already said that there was no classified information in the hearing. Don’t you wonder what they are hiding? Why do they think they are above the law?

The one that says a formal vote in the house has to be done before a impeachment inquiry can take place. So what the Dems are trying to do behind closed doors is not legitimate. Secret doesn’t work in this world. “ventually there will be a public presentation of this. At which point lawyers for the president can cross-examine these people and challenge them. This is like presenting a case to a grand jury, which is never done in public. So, I get it. The Republicans are frustrated. And they wanted to make a point. And they made their point. I ask you, What is trump trying to hide by attempting to block every witness called before the committee? No one would would ever block a witness who could exonerate them.

He has said until a formal impeachment vote is taken he’s not going along with it. It’s simple and common sense, something that a lot of people are missing these days.

There will be a formal trial in the Senate, when articles of impeachment is passed by the House. At that time Trump can take the witness stand under oath and tell his side of the story. At that time all the witnesses can be cross examined. Right now in these closed hearings, there are Republicans who have been given equal time to question those witnesses. Those Republicans can leak all the info they want, but most all the info is bad news.

My statement on healthcare, infrastructure, and border resolution have been put on the back burner while Congress chooses to partcipate in this clown show of an "impeachment inquiry". There are critical issues that need to be addressed and the Dems in the House have a singular focus of "getting Trump". The collective fiddling while Rome burns.

On October 16, McCarthy accused the Democrats of preventing Republicans from cross-examining witnesses during these hearings.
Schiff said this is inaccurate, and that he has been conscientious about "giving the GOP members every opportunity to ask questions."

McCarthy's fellow Republican Rep. Mark Meadows told The Washington Post that each side alternates asking questions in set time blocks and that there has been no limit provided for the number of questions each side can ask the witnesses.
Normal procedure dictates that the chair of the committee gets the first statement, then the ranking member or another member of the minority, followed by the witnesses opening statement.

Thus far, staff attorneys for both parties have led the majority of the questioning, with members adding in their own questions, too. Lawmakers and aides have told CNN the Democrats and Republicans have traded off hourlong and 45-minute rounds until all of their questions have been exhausted, meaning both sides have equal time.
