What did the biden's do or provide for the 17+ million dollars?
Here's your chance but we know you will spin and deflect

You bozos need to decide if he’s a criminal mastermind or a mentally handicapped old man.

I remember when this forum actually had informed and educated debate. Then Lou found us and it's been a monkey cage on meth since. I'll let everyone guess who the monkey on meth is.

You have a point but if you wanted to have a protest that had maximum effectiveness you would do it on the day of the vote
I am not saying that some there that day were very bad apples with malice in their hearts but those people exist on both sides
What I am saying is that there are people who genuinely like Trump and like it or not they were there to support their guy
I have been very clear that anyone that committed any violence should get what was deemed just for everyone that had previously committed the same act, no less but no more
History has taught us that if you really want to get something done it has to be through violence, nothing else says it as strong or as quickly

I've been on plenty of military bases, drove in and walked around, it was greatI wasn't aware of all that, but I do know there was a day when you once thought you would make something of your life.
Its been all down hill since I couldn't meet your approval

How about this indoctrination propaganda from a former sowal resident:What a great read by a someone who makes their money from writing about the perils of climate change pushing back against someone with a different point of view while offering no rebuttal herself. I'll bet I can guess which way she votes

Mike Huckabee’s “Kids Guide to the Truth About Climate Change” Shows the Changing Landscape of Climate Denial - Inside Climate News
Beverly Grimmett thought the kids magazines she saw stacked on a coworker’s desk this spring were perfectly innocent, until she picked one up. “My stomach turned,” Grimmett said. The guides were decorated in bright colors and cheerful cartoons, with titles like “The Kids Guide to Socialism,”...insideclimatenews.org

I was under the impression DeSantis disliked indoctrinating studentsSo what is it specifically that you are against
Florida’s conservative PragerU teaching texts labeled ‘indoctrination’
Critics of the material approved by Gov. Ron DeSantis say it aims to influence young minds. Its founder says that’s true.

I think the economy is going great. I haven't noticed a difference in my standard of living, and that's after dealing with a couple of major expenses. I absolutely love the high savings rates that always go hand in hand with high borrowing rates. Maybe some people don't want to educate themselves with how the economy and Fed policy actually work so that they devise some kind of strategy to get them through the tough times, and even flourish.Serious question: Would you consider yourself an 'average American' (financially speaking)? Some of us were/are very blessed to obtain or be giving financial knowledge throughout our lives that most do not have. I am not an emotional person but when I here people talking about having to make decisions on what kind of groceries to buy (due to budget issues) I feel our education system has failed a huge chunk of our society. Not laying this on Biden and his admin at all because none of our presidents have done it but why isn't financial education pushed more in our schools? It would greatly benefit our entire country.

So what is it specifically that you are againstThe point of the article is PragerU is doing exactly what your governor claims he is against which is indoctrination.

This quote is all I need to know about what they are teaching.
“And the lessons share a common message: Being pro-American means aligning oneself to mainstream conservative talking points.”

I think trump, conservative extremism and fox news has done a number on people like Lou who prefers not to learn anything other than what he is being told to think by master manipulators, extremist and entertainers. In contrast I do not feel Biden or any of the media is as desperate to sell me on all the complete BS coming from that group. I think extremism is violence and that seems to be what Lou is promoting which is opposed to a democratic ideal. I do agree that money and power corrupts ALL and it is a shame that we will never agree on this truth because of political division.
But there is always hope. Just yesterday I was working and two contractors came over to help me because I was struggling a bit in the heat. We started talking about politics and being divided by people who have never done the type work that we do. So I asked how could they know what it is like down here in the trenches. We all agreed that our mistake is to put people in office to represent us when they have NO idea what working class America is. We all agreed that working class is the majority of America and we should be more united in electing people to represent us. We also agreed that that wealth is more of an enemy than a friend. We all came up with examples right here in Walton County. What we did not agree on is why there is a poor class and why is it important not to jump to rash conclusions like because they are all just lazy. My point is that we all have things in common and life has educated us all. Common sense is something that we are losing because of anger and hatred. I think both life and education helps common sense. I think education helped me be more open minded which is necessary in complex social structures. When we start hating each other because of how we define ignorance then that is wrong. We somehow just need to talk and never stop talking to each other so I appreciate Lou for doing that in this forum. I hope we can learn something from each other and respect each other because the purpose of life is definitely not to hate each other...

I say teach history straight down the middle. The more offensive the better as it will change young mindsets and it will also show a constant move in the right direction. The problem is history is always taught from a point of view

PragerU is not an accredited university, and it publicly says the group is a “force of good” against the left. It’s a nonprofit organization based in Los Angeles that produces videos that touch on a range of themes, including climate policies (specifically how “energy poverty, not climate change” is the real crisis), the flaws of Canada’s government-run health care system (and how the American privatized system is better), and broad support for law enforcement (and rejection of Black Lives Matter). In some cases, the videos tell kids that their teachers are “misinformed” or “lying.”
Some videos talk about the history of race relations and slavery. In one video, two kids travel back in time to meet Christopher Columbus, who tells them that he should not be judged for enslaving people because the practice was “no big deal” in his time. Columbus argued to the kids that he did not see a problem with it because “being taken as a slave is better than being killed.”

That slavery had any benefits for the enslaved. That's like saying imprisonment benefitted POWs who were injured, captured and then given life saving medical attention prior to their brutal captivity. They survived, and if that's not a benefit, what is?
