We've talked about this and I don't think anyone is organizing it so ....I'm going to get us started! I think the ornaments should be mainly handmade but if you saw something at a store that reminded you of that person you could pick that up too. We could all wait and open our packages together one night in December, an ornament postathon if you will. Or some other funn plan...I'm open to any and all suggestions. Participation is not an option*!!!!! Grinches, bah humbuggers, you know who you are;-) ....this will put you in the C'mas spirit.

I have created a new email just for this purpose. Please email OLbunnyfunn@aol.com with your sowal name and your real name and address.* I will draw names and send you your person!

I adored it and we all looked at it again at dinner tonight. I missed being part of the party, too, but the first thing I did when we got home was look for my box with the ornament in it and then got on line to read about the party and post my picture of the ornament. But my heart was definitely with the party even though my body was on the plane!

You were missed Paula! There's always next year!

well, your ornament will be worth waiting for I do believe... we can all look forward to seeing it.

now, get to the store and buy yourself something lovely for christmas, something you've really wanted, something just pretty unnecessary but fantastic (doesn't have to be expensive). new boots, necklace, some great jeans, a sweater, books, whatever. have it wrapped at the store, or tell your husband to wrap it and put it under the tree. then, you shall have the christmas present(s) you really want! (works for me). or give yourself a facial, pedicure, massage, or something that makes you feel good.

i can't buy anything - i just paid bills.....now i am depressed !

i am testing my willpower with my sowal ornament. i have it sitting under the tree, and every time i walk by it says "hey audie - open me ". i am ignoring it. will post a pic first thing monday morning. i will be home at 6 am and will do the grand unveiling shortly thereafter !

I'm glad you like it SJ. Realize later that you are not a whale anymore, but SoWal Legend, but Moby Dick is a legend too, so not so far off.
All the "crap" on the ornament is removeable too. :razz:

There are more people I wanted to make ornaments for, but my heart was bigger than my time and energy. Sort of like going food shopping on an empty stomach. :lol:

But look out, you never know who my next victim of a "Mango original" might be. ;-)

It is just propped up there. This year, I am using the community Christmas Trees in Seaside and WaterCooler as my official Christmas Tree, and I was a little concerned with my special ornament being removed from the tree if I put it on there. Really, Seaside should simply place lights and bows on the tree and have a big party where everyone brings their own ornament to hang on the tree each year.
