Exterior Illumination

Anyone get their exterior illumination finished? It was almost 60 degrees here in New York, so it was a grayt day. Even though I was still suffering from a BlackFriday "Hangover", I went out to get my lighting and decorations out.

We just walked back inside from doing ours. We had a balmy 60 degrees too. I can remember years of doing it in Arctic temps when it's hard to get your gloved fingers to work when they're frozen!

Jd, I'm not sure I'd get around to it at all if I were you. You can always look at and enjoy everyone else's lights. I think we may get some up tomorrow. You can't beat this weather!!! Sunny and 63 tomorrow. :clap_1:

You want to see some jaw-dropping Christmas light displays? Look no further than DeFuniak Springs. We went last year. Got out of our car and walked the circumference of the lake with the hugest smiles on our faces. It was magic, pure magic.

Me too! There is a disadvantage in having warm weather to put up Christmas lights, I get more particular and take twice (no make that 3 times as long) as long as I would if it was 40 degrees with the wind blowing.

No kiddin! I was so thrilled to have help and good weather, I just kept on going. It might just rival the Griswalds. I think our good weather's gonna come to an abrupt halt end of the week though....brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....glad I got the lights done today.

What happened to them...I thought we raised them better!
Yep, they're predicting "possible" precipitation with the big freeze.

I just don't get that game and I have had to play for business. Only if a good looking man was showing me how to play, then it was interesting. Otherwise, mini golf rules.

Just noticed your tar. How cute. A gift from Aunt Mango? I have played, but just don't care for it, to slow for me. But I certainly don't care that Mr. dbuck plays, gets him out of the house. :D

Yes,it is good to get 'em out of the house, but I know of no rounds of golf that take 8 hours. :idontno:

I love this tour of the lake in DeFuniak. The victorian homes are decorated beautifully, and the lights around the lake are a blend of old fashioned Christmas lights and displays (tons and tons, some simple, some kind of cheesy, and some really nice - so many that all together it is magnificent). This year we're talking about stopping on the way home to eat at Vallarta to eat mexican...

That smile of his is adorable! I love the way he is being held out "on display" for this pic.!
