So where does your SEC program rank?

Hmm...Kentucky is #6, my new team Florida is #2, but LSU is listed at #1. Maybe I will be an LSU fan. But I don't like the purple/yellow color thing going on.

Florida's colors were selected by a UF student wanting to add pomp to the original Gator uniforms and found two discarded paint cans in the Itchicootibootie River flowing through Gainesville. One had a bit of orange and the other some blue dregs. He figured if it was good enough for Auburn it was good enough for Florida. Hence, Florida's colors were born. Kurt will deny this. He will be lying, don't drink that gator kool-aid

I gotta plead ignorance on gymnastics. Baseball has fallen several notches, but we have a new coach this year.

Tennessee is #3. They do not need to do anything about their orange. I luv it. Bruce Pearl is a good basketball coach. He has totally turned the men's program around after coming to Tennessee last year.

i will admit i have no idea what you people are talking about, to me sec almost spells sex, and i am all for that. all i know is that neither my nor mr audie's schools are on there. wait - i think i remember him saying purdue is big ten - would that be correct ? i went to a small school in indy, decent basketball team ( were ranked like #14 or something close) but that's all i know.

tangent here - mr audie was watching football thursday night after work and bryant gumbel was yakking on some football show. he should be ashamed - i think he understands football about as well as i do. i forget what he was talking about, but even i knew he was just blowing smoke up people's a$$e$.

Who was Bernie Moore?

Bernie Moore was a legendary sports figure during his long tenure as head coach of both football and track & field at LSU.

Moore was the son of a Baptist minister, which seemed to influence his sports philosophy. As his College Football Hall of Fame states. he was "a man of morals and mayhem." While demanding a high level of sportsmanship from his players, he also called for a hard-nosed, physical style of play from them at all times.

In addition to 2 SEC titles in football, his track & field teams won 12 SEC titles and the national championship in 1933. LSU's Bernie Moore Track Stadium is named in his honour.

After ending his tenure at LSU (the longest of any coach at the school to that point). Moore became SEC Commissioner in 1947.

my school (butler) and mr audies school (purdue) just played a b-ball game against each other. mr audie is a loser !!!! actually he said nobody won, they got tired of playing and cancelled the game, so i take that to mean butler won....:roll:
