Found these digging through some old albums. Took them in July of 2002. I rented a 172 from Miracle Strip Aviation and flew down the beach.

Draper Lake...no Draper Lake homes. No Retreat homes

Oyster Lake in Dune Allen. Note that Thompson Drive is still dirt

I remember the small buildings around the post office area. Also where the parking lot is in this photo there was a big building that was from the Truman Show? (I miss 30A radio too.) Ellen

WaterColor just starting. St. Joe had a soul, now just a corporate land provider for DR Horton type land scrapers.

Look at all the vacant gulf front.
