goodbye eyebrows !

Well, I'm late as usual...
Yep, takes a week. I use good vodka. Made it with everclear once and didn't care for it. I do make kahlua every year with everclear though.
Peeling all those lemons is a pain in the butt, but it's worth it!
Speaking of highly flammable, do you watch Grey's Anatomy? In one of the episodes last night, a patient on oxygen lit up a cigarette and burned off his face.Nothing says funn like drinking a highly flammable liquid![]()
One of those things they don't remind you not to do while on oxygen.
I don't remember much about Lake Como. It was so romantic that we were in the hotel room a lot.;-) We have very fond memories of both of our visits there.:funn:Lake Como is a beautiful place.
My husband loves grappa but I prefer limoncello, though both should be taken in moderation--ask Danny Devito. ;-)
Miss Kitty, I am so glad you are enjoying yourself. It sounds like a wonderful trip.
Back on thread ... Miss K., if you have never had fried zucchini flowers as an appetizer in Italia, you must. They're in season right now and divine!
Kitty.....did you join the protest and sign George's petition today?![]()
Clooney was among some 300 townspeople who signed the petition against the planned construction in the town of Laglio on Lake Como, according to organizers.
...saw that too, Mango! When I spoke with George, I likened his situation to the woes of SoWal. ;-) We saw George's "little" spread on our way to lunch. The windows were open and someone was watering the flowers, but alas it was not GC. His loss.
We also floated by Donatella Versace's place...very nice. I can only think about Maya Rudolph on SNL doing the best imitation of that bottled blonde mess!!! ...might as well go stay in a motel in LaGrange.I don't remember much about Lake Como. It was so romantic that we were in the hotel room a lot.;-) We have very fond memories of both of our visits there.:funn:
So, then Mr. K orders us another round! Glad I wasn't paying!
The weather has been overcast with a few showers until today. Cool and clear and BELLA! We are off to see the Villa Mermy spoke of earlier, Villa Del Balbianello. I am interested in finding out why it was used for a space flick as a location...(Star Wars 2).I ordered zucchini flowers every time I had a chance. Yum!Si!!! I had them for lunch yesterday at the Villa d'Este. Probably the best food I have had since arriving. They were filled with ricotta and vegetables. I hope to find them on a menu again. I also had grilled wild lobster. This is probably because they give you the old fashioned menus where only Mr. Kitty saw the prices! The Villa d'Este is where the high rollers stay. Low rollers like us go for lunch! ;-)
