Interesting discourse but ... I am beating Kurt to the punch :roll: ...aren't we all supposed to attack the "issue" and not the "poster"?? Name calling gets no where and tells those of us that lurk in a discussion more about the poster than anything else.

Just my .02 cents.

You are absolutely right. I get a little worked up when people argue a topic that they really know nothing about, specially when it is something that will affect all of us. TripleB I apologize.

I understand how you can get worked up on something you feel so passionate about. I think that is a human condition :roll: and we all are guilty of it!

That said, once again you state "I get a little worked up when people argue a topic they really know nothing about". I think the topic isn't black and white and both camps here are making some interesting contributions to the discussion.

We all know global warming is happening - but is it's root cause the human element exclusively or could it be, as TripleB states, a natural cycle ...OR, I'll throw another idea out here which is what I believe - is it a natural cycle that is being exacerbated or accelerated by the human element?

This has been quite an interesting thread. I feel we all look at this issue from a great deal of fear. That is why all parties are so passsionate about it. Jill, you are probably correct... Which came first the chicken or the egg theory. Either way it is scary to think we could be wiped away. Some like to feel like it is just a cycle and we will be ok, while others like to feel like we need to get involved with a solution.

For me, we are all very wasteful so what does it hurt to clean up our mess a little. Every year I find more trash in the water! I wonder what it is going to be like when my kids, kids paddle out!

While I do not agree with him, his strength is his personality, and after the argument is over, I still like him and he makes me laugh.

Now I wish the people I do agree with would interject a little smile here and there.....

Thank you jenay. I have known and loved TripleB for yes, 31 years. He is a dear friend of mine. He is passionate about things he believes in. He is a good person with a good heart. Just because he has liqour bottle for his avatar does not make him a bad person as another poster suggests. Also, look how many posts I have, other poster, and yes, I do have a life. I may not agree with what every poster on this message board says, but I would not personaly attack them. This is an open forum and every person has a right to post how they feel without being called ignorant, un-educated...etc. Just my 2 cents that I felt compelled to add. Like it or not.

Ok..Ok. People will believe what they want to believe and who they want to believe. If there is global warming I want to be the first to apologize for my part in this event. Please tell me what I can do to stop this vicious cycle the Earth may be entering. I recycle. I have a low flow toilet (sure it may take 4 flushes but who's counting). I even planted a tree last year!!

I also want to apologize for any misspelling that may have teken playce. My edumakation has been sumwhat limited becuz PBS didn't come in to gud on my kin folks tv box and CNN wuzzent around back then.

Gotta go now...the Hee Haw reruns are about to start.
