You have just got to admire the self confidence of this. The world would be a better place if everyone had a little "yeah, I'm sexy and you'd better take a damn picture" attitude.Work it girl.

I'm so confused! :idontno: Or maybe I'm just slow.

Are you saying the woman in the blue shirt with her back to the camera is really a he? Is Moondance a he-she?

I'm not trying to sound mean, but why in the world would anyone who looked like that spend all that money to get herself photographed on the beach (in the dunes, nonetheless!....aargh!)? I would think her incentive would be to go on a strict diet, let those awful tan lines fade and then come back next summer!

Of course, there's also the possibility that she just dropped 100 pounds and feels sexy! 😱
...but you do sound mean. Yes, we Americans are an obese group, but so what? Sure, if you want to get into the problems of obesity and the cost of healthcare, go for it, but please don't put someone down for what they may look like on the outside. I am with 30gAy on this one. I give her :clap_1: for showing how much she glows on the inside. ;-)

That said, I could give her and the "professional" photographer a :whack: for being in the dunes.

Dress choice and dune damage aside, I always thought she was kind of purty, myself... I love my "big" friends, they're the most huggable.

But I bristle when any of us here makes comments on people's looks... what if they come here and see it? If someone took my pic on the beach and posted it, my freckles and scraggly-beach-hair sure wouldn't stand up to public scrutiny, that's for sure. How many of us really could?

Absolutely not! I probably should have kept my thoughts to myself. My first reaction when I saw this photo last year was that she was drawing attention to the non-so-attractive parts of herself via the tan lines, and the dress doesn't flatter her figure. And she's standing on the dunes, which still angers me when I see the photo! :bang:

Sorry if I offended anyone. Everyone has instantaneous reactions to photos, etc, be they positive or negative, that run through our brains. I should have kept this one to myself.

Mea culpa!

Hey, at least you admitted it! That takes a lot and we've all been there & done the exact same thing! I certainly have!

I agree. I wouldn't want my photo posted either. I cringe whenever I see some of the not-so-flattering photos posted by some members, such as an innocent swimmer adjusting her swimsuit (and certainly unaware that someone is lurking behind her taking her photo!) This photo just struck me, because in her case the person in the photo planned the shot, clothes, etc. As I said in another post, I apologize if my comment was offensive. I'm sure she's a very nice person. I'll keep my thoughts to myself in the future. Now if those camera lurkers would only do the same.......THEY post unflattering photos on the board that THEY think are funny, but how do they know that the subject of their photo won't come upon the site? You can bet that it crosses my mind when I'm on the beach that someone may be out there shooting photos without my knowledge!

Hey now. That girl with the "juicy" swimsuit was a hottie. If you ever see photos taken by me of ugly or overweight people, simply to make fun of them, you have my permission to slap me - hard! Deal?;-)

I try not to shoot embarrassing photos or post an accidental one. The golden rule applies. Feel free to call me on it if I do.

Nice defelction BTW.

:lolabove: The only time I'd ever slap you is if I ever run across a posted photo of ME in my swimsuit! If that ever happens, you won't be able to run fast enough! :floor:

No, SJ, the only time you make fun of a photo is when there's ridiculous or inconsiderate behavior somewhere in there...never for looks.

Unless they're wearing Speedos.

Which of course falls into the category of ridiculous or inconsiderate behavior. ;-)

Doesn't standing in the middle of a dune constitute inconsiderate behavior? :idontno:

That's all I'm going to say about that. It doesn't excuse my comment, I know

I certainly think this photo is the female equivalent of a fat man wearing a speedo. Ridiculous indeed. No one with THAT body should wear THAT dress, much less have some kind of serious photo shoot while wearing it.
