NRA...No Reasoning Allowed....NRA....lobby whore for the gun industrial complex Wayne Lapierre- current compensation from the NRA and Foundation is reported to be $970,300 This guy tolerates mass murder in schools. He is a monster.

Here's a link to the "whore" for the Constitution. http://www.saf.org/default.asp?p=mission Much better then the NRA. Btw Do I need an AR 15 or high capacity mags? Every time someone says something like that to me I reply with, "Do the people NEED alcoholic beverages". Of course the answer is NO. Alcohol is responsible for more deaths than civilian shootings, including deaths of children. It destroys families and it costs us all billions of dollars in damage, rehabilitation, lost work, etc. But we are a free people who do not NEED to have a reason to do something. It is assumed we can do it unless there is a legal and justifiable need to prevent it. And of course, we all know what happened when the government made strong drink illegal. It was a disaster. In fact Prohibition led to so much criminal activity that just after it was repealed the government passed the National Firearms Act (NFA) and ultimately led to the creation of the "F" part of the ATF decades later.

The BATF explains it thus on their website, "National dismay over the weaponry wielded so conspicuously by organized crime during Prohibition led to passage in 1934 of the National Firearms Act, followed in four years by the Federal Firearms Act."

That was an effort to disarm mobsters who were using machineguns, concealable submachineguns, and cut-off shotguns. It was also the start of a continuing effort by the government to tax and control who could own firearms and what kind of firearms they could own. In the end, I don't think the NFA has done much, if anything, to curb criminal activity. Also there has probably been more deaths caused or related to alcohol since Sandy Hook than deaths caused by guns.

How do you commit mass murder in a school with Miller Lite? You are deflecting because you don't like the logic.

intent to commit mass murder intent to deflect about mass murder

He's making a straight comparison between firearms and an addictive substance that causes out of control behavior in many of its users. Maybe he's on to something.

Interesting statistic. Does this have anything to do with prescription drugs? My point was the correlation between gun homicides and prescription drug homicides.
