So it isn't about politics?

It clearly is since they had to mention California is a generally Democratic state. What they didn't mention is that while insurance has temporarily stopped issuing in California they haven't left. Florida literally had to create it's own insurance company due to companies leaving the first time and now we're way worse off, but let's point a finger at another state experiencing temporary insurance woes. Maybe this is why the GOP in Florida or the country hasn't actually fixed a problem in decades.

Not to beat the horse, but the current Governor of North Carolina is a Democrat and the previous one was a Republican. Based on Florida's recent legislative endeavors I don't think it has worked. We have all kinds of promises from politicians who say it will take time, but if they believed that, then there should be no legislation next session dealing with insurance. We shall see.

I think they were trying to show that it happens under both parties
The would remove politics from the equation
Just my take on the comment
We Floridians should all be on the same side and demand our political candidates to do something about insurance and infrastructure. Everyone should ask themselves why we are not able to put serious issues above a political "side"...

What could any politicians do about private companies deciding not to do business in a state?
Infrastructure is a whole different thing, this is under the states control

Neither of these have much to do with politics other then people just trying to take shots at leaders they don't like

I think you are wrong but the truth is that we have gotten ourselves so divided that you might be right. If we the people of Florida were smart we would demand changes to a system that only works well for the wealthy...
