Going to New Orleans

Can anyone tell me how I-10 is between Mobile and New Orleans? Are there any detours or delays? I'm headed down this weekend.

And what do tell will you be doing in the Crescent City?

All I know is that they just opened the I-10 bridge over Lake Ponchartrain, so there's no longer a detour there.

Taking a kid down to Tulane since classes start next week? Some acquaintances of ours have a child who decided to return to Tulane (he's a freshman and was only there one day). It was a tough decision for them.

My brother is volunteering down there and I'm going to drop my K5 off for him. He's driving in his little dinky truck and he said he feels like a wuss driving around in that thing. He also has little pizza cutter tires on it and keeps getting flats from all the nails everywhere.

So I'm taking him huge tire testosterone machine. Vrrooom vroooom! 😀

Are you going to be in the quarter at all? Seems like a stupid question, but you never know? If you are, I have favor to ask you. My ex-sister-in-laws family owned a restaurant in NO. It is called Messina's. It is (was) located at the corner of Iberville and Chartes..if you are down that way and don't mind, will you take a peak and see if it is still there. It has been a long time since I heard from her and just wondered if they made it through Katrina!!
