golf - Is Acadian Hills open?

Acadian Hills Golf Course

Acadian Hills , aka The Goat Path, is closed. It was located east of Freeport- north of Bruce and had a long history of really cheap golf/ bring your own beer. It is missed by many MidWal folks!

Was or is it near Red Bay? Golf Course was very inexpensive and had a lot of lets say "native" areas of play. Knew lots of SoWal, NoWal, MidWal, EaWal, WeWal, etc.folks who enjoyed the unique and inexpensive experience of playing there.

I think Red Bay was bought out a few years ago, maybe that's the new name. Attempting to lure NOLA transplants or maybe bought by same?

Sandy Pines

The golf course was located in Red Bay. It was named Sandy Pines for most of its days. A victim of another developement deal gone sour.
