This is from an article about a couple who lived in a mobile home on Sanibel Island.
I fixed it.

“For Irvin and Lange that recovery looks hard – as it is for many low-income Floridians, who are often hit hardest by the terrible losses that natural disasters can wreak.
They had no insurance because of its high cost, as both rely on social security for their income that Republicans are hell bent on taking away from them and other Americans in addition to Medicare.

Waiting for republicans to start attacking those who stayed in their homes during Ian the way they attacked those who stayed in their homes during Katrina.

Marco Rubio, Rick Scott urge Senate leaders for more funds to recover, rebuild Florida after Hurricane Ian

Here are the fourth and fifth paragraphs from the article,

“The Senate passed a short-term spending bill on Thursday that includes an additional $18.8 billion for the Federal Emergency Management Agency to respond to Hurricane Ian and future disasters. The vote was 72-25. Scott, however, voted against it, while Rubio was not present for the vote, according to the U.S. Senate roll call.
The Democratic-led House followed up Friday with its approval, 230-201. The measure next goes to President Joe Biden’s desk to be signed into law. Republicans overwhelmingly opposed the measure.”
