Hi guys - I often us this map to see what's happening in Walton County - South Walton planning, projects, developments, housing, commercial ... zoning and so forth. I post some here but there is a lot more to see on the map. Perhaps something you see you might want to discuss . . . you can look at the map and see where projects are and the name but for details/docs you have to create a login.

Walton County Planning and Development Services
today proudly announces the relaunched Project Review Map, an enhanced
interactive online tool that builds on previous versions to deliver even greater
transparency, improved usability, and more comprehensive access to development
project information across Walton County.

This updated ArcGIS-powered interactive map—titled “Walton County Planning
Project Review Interactive Map”—serves as a vital public resource for residents,
property owners, developers, applicants, and all stakeholders. It visualizes current
and pending development projects with clear status indicators (“Under Review,”
“Approved,” or “Other”), while integrating rich spatial layers including parcels,
zoning, future land use designations, special flood hazard areas, Choctawhatchee
Beach Mouse tiers, National Wetland Inventory, white sands protection areas,
military influence zones, municipalities, BOCC districts, planning areas, and
county boundaries.

The relaunch incorporates refinements to the interface, updated data layers, and
enhanced performance to better support the County’s growing needs amid ongoing
development in Walton County, updated monthly.

“This relaunch of the Project Review Map underscores our ongoing dedication to
open government, technological modernization, and responsive public service,”
said Walton County Planning Director Stephen Schoen. “By refreshing this
essential tool, we make it easier for everyone to track development activity,
understand regulatory contexts, and engage meaningfully in the growth shaping
our communities—while continuing to protect the County’s unique coastal and
natural heritage.”

The relaunched Walton County Project Review Map is now live at:
