Looking for input on an app I am working on

I am a long-time local who has worked along 30A since the early 2000's. My partner had a stroke a couple of years ago and is paralyzed on his right side - he was in a wheelchair, then walker, and now uses a cane and knee scooter (he has been amazing with his recovery). His anxiety about going to restaurants, events, shops is high, though - it's not just about a venue or an event being 'ADA-accessible' and checking a box for 'yes, we have a ramp or a handicapped bathroom stall'.

I am developing an app about real, practical advice for caregivers and the person with various limitations or challenges (parking, distance to a bathroom from a table to the bathroom, surfaces like concrete or cobblestone, are tables close together, is it super crowded, etc., ). I've been following this group in some form (or profile name) for years, so I thought I would ask all of you (visitors and locals) if this is something of interest or could be beneficial for a lot of people with various disabilities or limitations.

Thoughts?

God bless. Do you mean specific details about places in South Walton or just general info?

It does sound like something that could be very useful and could evolve to other places. How do you get content details on locations and how do you monetize it? Or is it a "hobby" or "philanthropic" app?

Love this idea tbh. My uncle’s in a cane now after a stroke and the hardest part isn’t always access, it’s not knowing what the place is actually like once you get there.

Hi, sorry - life got in the way and i haven't been able to do much more with it in recent weeks! Yes, I imagine it is South Walton focused for now, but it could be useful anywhere! We literally were just planning to go somewhere this weekend with friends but they told us that the tables were tight so it wouldn't have worked with his knee scooter. I'm not quite sure how I will gather, verify the recommendations just yet but, by the response I've gotten on here, Reddit and others, I think it's a viable idea. You can email me at stacyhamilton67 (at) gmail.com with questions or suggestions.
