Someone was held an extremely long time for tossing wine?
Link please.
The protestors involved with Jan 6th have been held multiple times longer then any other protestors that committed the same actions
That is not right, it is not just, and it shouldn't be tolerated

All I'm saying is that when people are treated unjustly then anything is on the table
The men that settled and started this country pushed back and put their lives on the line because they were being treated unjustly

No they don't
The question becomes if you allow it to happen does it get worse
I would have thrown one right back on her because man enough to do something is man enough to have it done back
There should always be a consequence for bad behavior but in this divisive era some (those with privilege or power) will be given a pass. So yes she was wrong and yes Gaetz is wrong a lot and has showed some very destructive behaviors without consequences. He has privilege and power that she does not have. Justice will not be served if they convict her of a felony. My opinion of course.

Then your opinion is wrong and you know it. She was in the wrong, period. There's no excuse for her actions. Now if she is a good citizen with no history her punishment should be nothing more then having a stain on her record but she could have walked away at any point in time

They were not protestors. They were destructively interfering with the transfer of power. Punish them to the maximum allowed.

You speak like you have earned all your privilege just because you are a man. If you think women had no part in settling and starting this country is shows how little you know.

I think I said there should "always be a consequence for bad behavior". Where is the consequence for gaetz and trump for their bad behaviors?

So you don't believe women are equal to men?
That's an irrelevant question.
I do believe we should expect more from a US Representative who is engaging in a verbal altercation with a group of women at a freaking wine festival. He pressed charges which was his right to do. But he didn't throw a glass of wine at the woman as you would have done. Making him a better man than you and that is an extremely low bar.

Gaetz is far from a "real man" . But I have to also say that the woman who threw the wine made a bad move. This behavior makes her look like the extremist instead of the far right MAGA politician who keeps getting elected regardless of his immoral unfit and extreme behavior. She will be demonized by many. Also, we have many political figures who live and vacation here. They should be left alone. I've seen some here in public or in restaurants who I wouldn't begin to go near. Deplorable behavior is not OK ever. A nice wine festival is certainly not the time or place.

I saw the Sheriff's report on social. The comments were pretty on target especially for this area. Most agree this isn't the way to respond to a political figure regardless of the situation or person. Voting, being informed and activism are our options in a democratic society.
I agree and I’m not defending her actions but have to note we weren’t there to witness what took place beforehand.
Since zero harm could have come to little Matty it seems pressing charges is dick move on his part because I’m betting he was being a dick.

Remember Louey is here to bully the bullies supposedly. He's consistently bullied a woman on this forum however who hasn't bullied anyone in her life.

Is that what a "real man" does, because apparently I was raised wrong. <- that is called sarcasm Louey, feel free to look it up before responding.

Is he pressing charges? I didn't see that part
He has to have it on record because of his position as I would expect anyone like that to do
He shouldn't peruse anything legal because that would be weak
I would have poured one on her though because I would have loved to see her face
