This must be a trick concocted by Karl Rove in an effort to link Obama and Al Qaeda:roll:

if you google "mccain leading florida ohio", the hits come up calling the poll the "rasmussen-fox" poll and the term is used in conjunction with fox news. consequently, i don't see it as very reliable. had an interesting conversation today with someone who came into my workplace. the person essentially said they would not vote for obama because of his race. i think there are alot more closet racists out there, and it is not anyone's imagination. so very sad in 2008. i've come in contact with a number of people who are carrying around pages of documents printed from the internet calling obama a "muslim", etc., as if it must be the godforsaken truth since it appeared on the internet!!! come 'on, america, quit dumbing down.

Survery USA shows the same for Florida as of the 17th. Their last Ohio poll was on the 12th.

Rassmussen is one of the most reliable pols out there from what know, not sure why you think they are associated with FOX News? Maybe they just don't give you the result you would prefer?

it's a link to a website with a mccain banner on the header citing a 600 person poll taken 16 oct....how neutral!

Might I suggest you take your own advice?

Today's Northwest Florida Daily News states AP Poll shows all even in home stretch and McCain gaining among whites and people earning less than $50,000. It continued that the race narrowed after the third debate and McCain's "Joe the plumber" analogy struck a chord.

Another key point for this surge for McCain was as one interviewed person said, they just trust McCain more and feel he has more experience than his presidential contender.

"For John McCain, the best question is not whether he's going to lose, but what kind of a country he'd wind up with if he won after a campaign even a telemarketer can't love."

Interesting article about robo-calls and how the McCain campaign has polarized the country with the negativity.,..and how that will affect his governing if he should win.

I don't think the country is any more polarized now than it was two or three years ago.
