Well, I just read the SEC Football thread and thought it needed to be continued since the lock-down. I've got two words, Go Dawgs!
That was some intense reading over there on the other thread, but it is mild compared to being in the student section with a bunch of drunks.
Kurt, you let me know when you think that it is fair for UGA to call playing football in the Swamp, "nuetral field." ;-)
Hey, did anyone notice whether or not UGA won this past weekend -- I was working. ;-)

He hung at the beach with us last night and he was out there today but not when we were.
Ok...I feel like he's not himself.

Auburn has never been the War Eagles. Just tigers. War Eagle is sort of a 'battle cry' that we scream for a reason I don't feel like typing out. Calling Auburn the War Eagles would be like calling Alabama the "Roll Tides".
LSU fans smell like corn dogs. I don't know why, they just do. But they can party like nothing you've ever seen.
Kurt,
Do we have a game time for the FL/Auburn game?
See, I warned you about getting the Aubbies to explain the whole mascot thing-it never makes sense. As far as the scent, it is the smell of a national championship-I know Aubbies don't know what those smell like since they haven't sniffed one since the Eisenhower administration

Skunky! I'm gone for ONE DAY! And look what you do!?!?
Well that ought to teach you for being a well-rounded human being:clap_1:

Poor Tiffin. I am sure his answering machine is full of venom. Just ask John Vaughn how kindly the Auburn nation behaved toward him after he doinked repeatedly last year in Baton Ro:roll: uge.

I don't blame Tiffin at all. I blame Mike Shula completely. The kid is 18 years old. He was completely mind*&*%ed After missing is third straight, any coach worth his salt brings someone, ANYONE, else in there to attempt that extra point.

Oh it was great to see Alabama get beat. By arkansas nonetheless, I know Arkansas doesn't have an exceptional team, but I figured Alabama would take the cake on that one. Kind of surprising to see that it went the exact opposite.

You simply must watch the game. I wish I had a camera;I anticipate some serious sights around the Superdome tomorrow. Don't have tickets, but have plenty of fellow optimists to loiter with.:clap_1:

I think it's really cute that you're going to have to change that every single day.
Plan ahead Skunky....plan ahead.:nono1:
Let me ask you this though...Just planning ahead. If we are Sugar Bowl bound by some chance, and we come to New Orleans, will you hang out with us?

Oh sure! Heck, I might even give you some orange and blue beads so you don't get pricegouged like many of your peers do. By the way, LSU just leapfrogged poor Smiley J's Bulldawgs in today's AP top 25 on the strength of the debacle tween the hedges yesterday.

:clap_1: I'm so excited! Last time we had Auburn boas. It was amazing. You'll and Mrs. Skunky have to come out and party with us. It was the most amazing weekend ever.
I think LSU is better than GA. Come on. That was embarassing yesterday. I'd say the same thing if it was Auburn too, so don't jump on me just yet.

Wait a minute...they're out of order, but have too many A's. Oh...well I guess for University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa...that makes sense.

I actually own a doubloon from the 1972 Sugar Bowl (Auburn vs Oklahoma). I MIGHT be open to trading it to an Aubster for a few drinks or whatever. I actually went to the 1985(?) game between Auburn and Michigan. Bo Jackson was supposed to be the big event, but the game was a defensive struggle something like 9-3 with Aubbie winning. The next time I saw Bo he ripped off a huge run against the Saints in the first few plays of a game, then he pulled up lame after pulling one of his leg muscles;that was the end of the Raiders that night-Saints crushed them.

:clap_1: We prefer hand grenades. How about a couple of those? Watch ol' Skunky dance. They do something to you. I'm telling you. I drank 2 and didn't know what hit me. I was on stage doing Tina after that.

OMG, hand grenades! I bet you were plenty funn after a few of those. You don't like hurricanes? Mrs skunk could tell you a story so funny about Pat O'Briens you wouldn't believe. Lets just say 5 cent martinis at lunch, a goodly number of hurricanes and Sothern Decadence weekend (30 Gay could tell you all about that event) DO NOT MIX

Oh no...Let's put it this way...
Kfunn on hurricanes:

Kfunn on hand grenades:

These were from the Sugar Bowl back in 05. I spared Jfunn and sacrificed myself. We were so worn down after that weekend. Especially after the week we were in Grayton for NYE. That was when then apocolyptic picture was taken.
What were you and Mrs Skuny doing trolling the streets during Southern Decadence!?!?!?

OH MY GOD!
OK, here's the story, it really isn't that ribald or anything. New Orleans is a tourist driven town, and restauranteurs will do just about anything to lure locals in to the eateries in the slow summer months. So, when I was a naive little intern, we decieded to hit an Italian place in the quarter called Bacco http://www.bacco.com/ where they were having some unheard of lunch special. Besides the good food deal, they had 5 cent martinis. Well, this was Labor Day weekend which also happens to be Southern Decadence weekend http://www.southerndecadence.net/ so we watched the 'colorful' scenery outside and sipped a few of these cheap gin bombs (actually, I had gin, Mrs Skunk does it vodka style which is wrong, but anyway...). Since she is not a native Orleanean, she innocently asked "Where is Pat O'Briens?" http://www.patobriens.com/. Of course, I knew it was just a hop, skip and jump away on St Peter. So off we went after lunch;it was perhaps 2PM. We entered the piano bar, which is totally windowless and in much the same fasion as a casino seeks to disorient the patron and cash in on their vice. So, I had a hurricane and she a mint julep. And a few more, etc. We were feeling pretty good, sending requests up to the piano women, singing, etc. Then 'they' came and sat next to us. This was a crew of maybe two or three young women and a lone young man, all of whom I suspect came to town specifically for decadence from Mobile. So, we struck up a booze-fueled conversation, and fast forward several more drinks. The guy starts telling me how pretty my eyes are, telling me I am cute, etc. Well, I figure as long as Mrs Skunk is present this is harmless enough;in fact, I wanted to cash in on this. So, much like a woman might, I suggested this guy ought to buy me a hurricane. And he did. And he kept on and on. After a few rounds, Mrs Skunk suggested we hit the road. Before we left, I scrambled through the bar and collected as much empty glassware as I could, since I being an informed local know, the price of your drink there includes a $3 deposit on the glass. Covered with alcohol from dripping glasses, I pocketed a wad of cash from the bartender and we left. I remember being plastered and it was totlally shocking when we went outside and the sun was still up. Whoops. So, we stagger up St Peter and hit Bourbon, and we take the left to go catch the streetcar http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Charles_Avenue_Streetcar to go home. OK, I really am not sure what happened next, but suffice it to say, the guy who had bought all those drinks for me wanted some payback. He grabbed me and started planting big wet smooches on me. Mrs Skunk had to break it up. Thank God I don't rememebr too much. So, we left, and besides one other incident on the walk back where I solicited an illegal substance from a bathroom attendant in Howl at the Moon (even though I don't partake in the said substance), we went home. Wow, what a day.
