Okay, I am packing for NYC and having extreme ADD. I also have to take Molly to the boarders this afternoon.

If you can do it, I can do it. I thought this year, since we're driving to the beach on the 26th, that I could get away with only putting up the little tree, not the big tree....but nooooooooooooooooooooo. Fyl informed me that "this is my last Christmas at home" and how could I even dream of scrimping? Like the kid isn't going to come home for the holidays just because she's going away to college next year??? "my last christmas" Gimme a break!!
Now I gotta install Christmas. Thank you, Miss kitty, for the encouragement. I'm gonna do it. :clap_1:

...I had planned on finishing before MS arrived home last night. Didn't happen. When Mr. K was leaving for the airport this am, he made a comment that reminded me of Merman and his remark about the untidy house! MS and I are going to put up all the boxes and clean the heck out of this place and stick our tongues out at him tonight! Children LOVE their traditions...it's all OUR fault!!! :clap_1:

okay...but first, I need to get out of my p-jers!
I don't think I can top Toots being off to buy lettuce, but I thought I'd just fill you all in on my oh so exciting weekend.
Saturday: Still weak from my little virus--but feeling better, spent the morning making lists....
Finally took a shower, got dressed and went to order the standing rib roast. Spent 30 minutes talking with the butcher.(ok...I was kinda bored) Changed mind several times, will change again, I'm sure.
Went to Hobby Lobby. Bought glue. Came home to pick up mr. dd for staff Christmas party(mine). Let's just say, I was the most sober one at the party. mr. dd kept going to my truck to listen to the cowboy game. fell asleep in the driver's seat. People fought over shrimp. Time to go home. Moved mr. dd to passenger seat. Drove home.
Sunday: Stripped bed in guest room. Washed sheets. Revised lists.
Went to Wal-Mart for toys.
It really wasn't too bad at 8:00 a.m., and hey, there was nothing else open for toys. Bought toys. Came home, unloaded truck, went to Albertson's grocery shopping. Two hours later, came out, loaded truck and drove home. Unloaded truck. Put up groceries. Started new grocery list. Watched foodnetwork for a while.
Made butter mints. Made forgotten cookies. Made peppermint bark. Made biscotti. (I need you Italian gulls to help me out on this one...do you slice it before it cools? Maybe I baked it too long....It sure was crumbly but absolutely delicious)--with pistachios and cranberries.
Visited with daughter and grandson while cooking. Ate sandwiches for dinner. Watched Christmas Vacation...again.
Can't wait for tomorrow night....
