Since I'm in sort of a musical mood today, it started me thinking that many times on this board, we have talked about favorite songs, music, etc. But, then I started to think, as I listened to the radio, of songs that just plain make me wanna :puke: and I have to say without reservation, that my # 1 is "Bad to the Bone", followed closely by "Spirit in the Sky". Of course, these are just my opinion, I'm sure they're loved by many. So, I'm interested to hear what you guys have to say...:idontno:

New school: the non-edited version of "The Whisper Song" (Ying-Yang Twins)

Here's a total send-up of that song by the guys from The Lonely Island.

If they mean it as a put-down of the "Whisper Song," they're hilarious ... in a sick sort of way.

Anything by Journey is dubious at best. Ditto Rush-how anyone enjoys that nasal, whiney singing set to borderline electronica is beyond me. Styx, Foreigner, Air Supply...all rotten. When any line dance anthem is played at a wedding reception I head for the bar to ease my pain. And as much as I enjoyed irritating Rapunzey by voting for her on American Idol, I saw Kelly Pickler's video to the red shoes song, and the whole production was an amazing mess-the song was awful, her voice is weak and you could see the extensions creating a crease in her hair!!! Oh, can I also go on record to say that Shania Twain is profoundly annoying?

Journey- Yes
Electric Slide- HELL YES
The Macarena- You can do to any song, but when they play the acutal "Macarena" you better not be caught with your buns on the wood.

That is a proven fact.

I hate anything by The Fray, Beyonce, Nickelback (and ALL of the other bands that sound just like them), the Eagles, etc.

I could seriously go on all day!

The longest running disagreement in our marriage- Tom Waits. Bdarg LOVES him. I think he should have stuck to just writing the songs, like Kris Kristofferson. He has a voice that scares children. Every now and then we have to drag out the Tom Waits argument.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE:wub: BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN! I've seen him when I was young and I've seen him older!
Love Dancing in the Dark!
Dislike greatly "Love the one you're with!" It just bugs me. I tried it -doesn't work!:funn:
Loved the Stevie Wonder impression from the young man from India on American Idol: got me up off the couch and started dancing! My kids' were embarrassed but who cares!
Might get booted off here, but I also love Contemporary Gospel - Barlow Girls, Matthew West and Casting Crowns!
I love different kinds of music, try to give it a chance and then form an opinion!
Speaking of dancing, I saw Michael Jackson, back in the late 80's and that was one of the best dancing concerts ever! I know I'm supposed to be saying what I don't like.
Doncha love Rock the Boat Baby on the M&M'S commercial?

LOL at this thread. Radar Love was the first single I ever bought, but I have to agree now that it pretty much sucks. Also can't stand Whitney or Celine, and I'll add Mariah Carey to the list - just don't like "vocal gymnastics" period (that's what my choir director in high school called it, and I also have heard it referred to as "oversinging." It's why I can't watch American Idol without cringing.)

As for other songs that just plain get on my nerves, the ones that pop into my head right at this moment are "Get Outta My Dreams" by Billy Ocean and "Little Jeanie" by Elton John. Oh yeah, and anything country and over-the-top sappy like "Don't Take the Girl" by Tim McGraw (and I'm sure I'll catch a lot of slack for that one. I know it's a sweet song but they just played it into the ground.)

"I hope you dance." It's a nice sentiment. I like that one too. It's nowhere near as sappy as "Don't take the girl."

And I  BarlowGirl! You'd probably also like superchic[k] and the David Crowder band.
