I hope it does also. I am fed up with having to work around everyone else as to getting to even go anywhere. It doesn't involve my work, just his. But he is a total chicken to even want to speak up. Needs to get some backbone.

Lady I feel for you. I missed my Sowal trip in May because we lost Daddy. I was hoping to go in October but it looks like that's not going to happen either. My beautiful daughter is getting married No one told me how expensive weddings were, jeez! I feel like I'm in the movie Father of the Bride except it's just Mother of the Bride. Do we really need to feed all these people???

But hey we have our good Sowal friends, I feel like I'm taking mini vacations when I read their trip reports and see their pictures. Now if I could just get that afternoon nap in at work like I do at the beach...aahhh.

it didn't help tonight that we got a $477.00 electric bill! HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!

mr. dd has turned into a raging lunatic because i have not yet begun to pack. you'd think after 16 years, he'd know i NEVER pack until 2 hours before I walk out the door. Guess this year, I will pack the night before, since we're leaving at 4 am saturday. my kids are already fighting. i've got about 8 million things to do before i can even begin to be officially on vacation. gotta deliver the dog to the sitter, make sure the cat sitter is gonna show up, pay bills, get oil changed, wash vehicle, make grocery list.seems all he has to do is get on a plane. it didn't help tonight that we got a $477.00 electric bill! guess who'll be sweating for the rest of the summer? and summer lasts here til the end of October. don't get me wrong though, I'm super excited! I get to meet some more SoWal friends, take a good look at GBSP, eat some good fattening food, drink a lot, spend time on the beach with my family, read a lot, sleep some and don't have to go to work for 10 glorious days!!

thanks cheering. i am getting excited, but it's hard keeping mr. dd grounded during this time--he runs around going mach 2 with his hair on fire--and like i said, basically, he's just gotta get on a plane, but hey, it's his routine, so what are ya gonna do?

yes, biff, $477.00. that means fewer cosmos for me at the beach!

I'm sorry to hear all this lady. mr. dd changed jobs recently and wasn't sure he'd be able to take off this summer either, but I had already decided I'd just leave him home! I'm real sensitive like that. :funn: (see october thread..."should I get a divorce"). but, it all worked out, and his new boss told him, go...so it's off to the beach for us. hope you get to take some time somewhere. all souls need that from time to time.
