My daughter's been dragging a portable fan around with her 'cause I've got the AC set too warm for her. (81 upstairs / 80 down and even warmer when we're not here.
) Fans help a lot. Our bill just topped $300 and only one other time had we edged past $200. We have nearly 3000 sq.ft. I'm ready for smaller ! :roll: .
:roll: Our home is around 1600 square feet and our winter bills for the coldest months were around $350.00! Does anyone else have the gas price adjustment charges on their utility bills. That gets doubled on everyone's bills here alot of months. If the gas portion of your bill is actually around $70.00, alot of times it is doubled! They are passing on their having to pay more for their gas to us, which I can understand, but they are not paying double I wouldn't think for their gas. MLGW is jokingly referred to as Memphis, Light, Gas and Robbery instead of Memphis Light, Gas and Water. Nothing but a bunch of crooks and incompetents running the government in this city!

...tell mr.dd about our bill and he will kiss you. Besides needing the coolness at my age, I am here all day. This house was built in 1946. I have added all the extra insulation I can and have all newer windows. Go ahead, say it...I am a spoiled , but Kool Kitty!!! Next up....water bills!
