OMG - anyone else care to join me in lamenting the merits of wearing a proper fitting bra? Forgive my candor here. Those of you who know me know that I have recently lost a lot of weight. I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit, but I've lost 103 lbs. And I had no idea what bra size to buy anymore. But I was desperately in need of help. Went to Marshall Field's today and asked for a fitting. First thing the woman says to me is, "are you wearing one now?" (I was - LOL! How embarrassing.) End of story - amazing what good fit can do for your silhouette. I feel like a new woman!
Ok, glad I got that off my chest!

Do you need to call ahead and make an appointment or just "walk in?"

I just walked in - was actually headed to Nordstrom, when I decided to cut through Field's and give it a shot. They had a great sale (Olga bras - 2 for $20, some were regularly priced at $30 or more. A lot of other brands were buy 1 get 1 free. And the sales woman applied a 15% off coupon for me. Walked out with 8 new bras for $89 including tax. Great deal.)
got any pics?

I've never had 8 bras at one time in my life!!

i probably have 8-10 bras, and end up wearing the same 2 or 3 all the time.

I have tried every dam bra on the market. Minimizers, sports bras, big mama bras with all kinds of structural support built in, basic triangle bras, comfy/saggy bras.... you name it. Can't stand any of 'em!!! Maybe I need a consultation with River Otter as well.
I don't plan to have any body altering surgery in my lifetime, but if I had $$ to burn I might consider boob correction surgery. Meanwhile, they are just big pains in the butt.
Let's burn our bras and set the flappers free for life!!!:lolabove:

Ha ha ha!:floor: Yeah, Wonderbras and Miraclebras don't perform wonderful miracles on me. Guess "T-cups" will have to be invented. :funn: Poor Kate does not have the good girl genes- she will have straight hair and flat chest- poor thing.

Congratulations Linda! :clap_1:
My best friend who I grew up with lost 150 lbs! She always had a weight problem all her life. Struggled with every kind of diet, but she had a medical condition that exacerbated her weight. It was tough as hell watching her not make cheerleading squad with me and things like that.
She had to have surgery to remove the excess skin and they wrote an article about it in the Washinton Post

While she had the surgery- she had a boobie lift and then I sent her a gift certificate to Victoria's Secrets to get a funn, good fitting bra 😀
Personally, I like Bali Bras. Fit nice and very comfortable. Only ones I buy now.

You never know Jdarg...my 12 year old is about to pass me up in bra size. 😱 When I was her age I wore a 28AAA. She's already a good 34A. I was never happy with my size growing up and before I had kids. Now I am perfectly happy with my "t cups". .

Even though I could shop at Victoria's Secret now if I wanted, I refuse to on principle. Many years ago, I went there looking for a gift for a friend and a sales person came up to me and said, "We don't carry anything in YOUR size." Didn't even ask if I needed help or what I was there to buy. You're probably right about their tape measures!
SoWal Insider
How rude!! I do however buy my bras there but they are soooo pricey. $42 - $52!!!😱 But I am a larger size, like padded push ups. I have tried others but none compare to these...
