Anyone have any favorites? I would like to see Martin Scorsese get an Oscar, and I really like Abigail Breslin. She proved that sweet and sincere goes a long way.

Red carpet time soon!

Since I've only seen one of the movies, I'm hopin' for Jennifer. She was wonderful in Dreamgirls. That is about the extent of my knowledge, however, I will watch and enjoy.

I wonder if Kimmifunn will be in the bleachers at the Oscars? This would be something she would love to crash, if possible.

I have planned for this all day. Cooking dinner now, getting it out of the way.

I am also very excited to watch Ellen host. She'll be great in her usual effortless way!

Does anyone think Little Miss Sunshine is Best Oscar picture caliber? That's the only one I've seen so far. It was quirky funny but... just curious.
(Loved Alan Arkin.)

Ellen will be so good! I love to watch her.

I really like Little Miss Sunshine, but do not see it getting the award. If it does, many others will be surprised. Maybe the underdog will win. Have many comedies won? While it is serious, still a funny movie.

Who dressed Jennifer Hudson?! This is probably going to be the best night of her life, and she looks awful. Her stylist should be dragged out behind the Kodak theater and throttled. IM oh-so HO!

Hubby's got some kinda football combines going on now. Wow that was a beautiful throw?! ;-) Just got done with dinner early too. What time do they start?
The Queen actress sure was realistic. Looked just like her to me, but then all those foreigners do look alike, don't they? Shout out to Sheik Yo Booti, formerly known as 30gAy. She was on Ellen but I don't remember her name. I 'm sure I will after tonight though. :clap_1: Ellen should be a hoot!

You're welcome, dear! I had to google the list because even though we made the effort to see most of the movies nominated this year, I couldn't remember them all or keep the categories straight.

Kind of her usual unkempt self. Just never quite the right dress or hair. But she's so cute, she can dodge the damaging criticism.

I think she was gorgeous. except her hair is now "mousy brown". I liked her dark brown.

Penelope Cruze - gorgeous.
Beyonce - gorgeous.
Nicole - always gorgeous.
Jennifer Hudson - really glamorous looking IMO.

the only Best Pic I've seen is Little Miss Sunshine. while it was a good movie in a weird way, I'll be shocked and dismayed if it wins.

Yay Happy feet!
 to Eddie Murphy.

Cameron- can she possibly get any skinnier? Dang, she is too cute! I'm with Tootsie - my diet starts tomorrow ( after I eat some choc chip cookie dough as my last snack);-) I think Al Gore needs to join us!
