This might have been misunderstood, but my intent was certainly not to be offensive.

We all do what we have to do for electric hair........your system works for you, seems strange to me probably because I don't live where we have 6-8 mos. of weather like that. But, there isn't any right or wrong.

scooty is right. If I wear a hat - it stays on. but hats bother me so I don't wear one unless its really necessary. otherwise - no hat. just a scarf and maybe a loose hood.

I do LOVE the look of hats though. I would love to be a hat wearer. and I wouldn't worry too much about flat flying hair. the hat itself bothers my head when wearing one.

I agree that hat should be part of the outfit. So get a COOL hat!!

One thing I learned from my hairdresser is to NOT wash hair each time you would normally wash it - just use a conditioner. It will still clean it but not leave you with that fly away mess that one has to deal with in cold dry air. So I do that - I don't wash my hair daily anyway so the next time I am due to wash it I just use my fav Aveda conditioner in shower - and some on the legs too. WORKS!
