So, it's Monday....the sprinklers came on. Molly went outside and I called her to come in, but she did not come. It was dark and I heard water. FTLOC...half of the backyard was under water!!!! I got Molly in, dried her footies and went out with a flashlight to investigate. There is water bubbling out of the ground on the side of the house! I have called the water department. They are sending an emergency truck out...I had to wake Mr. K to tell him to get in the shower, stat! Guess I'll be waiting on a plumber today.![]()
Yikes! Was Molly swimming?

Up to her knees!!! Puck the emergency truck...Mr. K jsut turned off the water. I told you he was a valued employee.![]()
What a pain! Was it a sprinkler head? Why didn't you turn off the sprinkler system or the water meter at the street? Hubby taught me how to take care of all sorts of such problems because he used to be out of town so much, and invariably he would be out of town when this stuff hapened. Thankfully hubby is a do-it-yourselfer. He just goes to Home Depot, buys a new sprinkler head, and fixes it himself. So, it's Monday....the sprinklers came on. It's tax time - so I am going through ALL my paperwork - and found this steaming pile of hooey!
I have always been against the use of credit scores in determining auto insurance rates, but this is the last straw!!!
Apparently my credit report was used to calculate my auto insurance premium and I did NOT receive the lowest possible premium for these reasons (even though my info was "very good" in their words) because:
1) I applied for credit at least once in the last 2 years
2) I had no reported auto loans or leases opened in the last 10 years
3) I had a payment past due in the last 7 years
So because I got pre-approved for a loan (but didn't get one), didn't finance my only car ever, and was late on a payment sometime since I was 22, I have to pay more - even though I have never made a claim, gotten in an accident, or gotten a ticket!!!
Pucking insurance companies!!!
