I needed to start this thread for a bit of pity and a momentary wallow in my misery.

For six rental seasons, I have done the same thing. I arrive to our place and do the bi-annual change out of slipcovers. Washed the Summer covers, put them up and put on the Fall covers, which had been washed last Spring.

Mr. K calls me last night and says we got a bill for the deep clean. Fine, good. Then he read me the ridiculous amount they have charged us for DRY CLEANING all the slipcovers!!!! We even were charged for "upholstery cleaning" the outdoor cushions, which I always wash! So, I just washed slipcovers that were recently drycleaned (I told them to never do this). :bang:

Thank you...I feel better. I will be having a meeting today.

so they did clean them after all, Kitty? I'd be peeved, too. I know you spent a good deal of time cleaning them all. :bang:

I think I'd be looking for a new rental or cleaning establishment. Poor Miss Kitty. You're so mistreated. Seriously, I'd be furious as well.

...you saved yourself at the end. I don't mind spending money to make money, but this has never happened in the 6 years I have been on the program.

Why, yes darling! Best decision I ever made. After six years in a rental program, everything still looks great!

How dare you put up a rant thread on the ONE DAY that I have nothing to rant about. I work hard all day everyday, facing insurmountable problems every single minute and the ONE TIME I am finally happy and all of my ducks are in a row you have to go and do this.

She stole my rant, and I'm so happy that I don't even care.

I'm all euphoric again, and I haven't even had my medicine. In fact I think I'm going to go on about how nauseatingly happy I am until someone starts a rant about it.

Ok...here's my rant. I am a miserable dieter. I do great all day, then I come home a graze all night like a sea cow. I am sick of not fitting into my dress up stuff and being stuck in jeans and t-shirts. I think I am going to start wrapping my head in duct tape at night. I'm turning 40 in January and I refuse to feel like a lump of mash potatoes in gravy......oh look........is that an m&m in the bottom of my purse?.........

Getting older and the stock market crash are a double whammy.

In the '73-'74 stock market crash, I survived with cheap alcohol and hot girlfriends.

In the "87 stock market crash, I survived with cheap alcohol and hot girlfriends.

Now in this stock market crash, I survive with expensive alcohol and memories of hot girlfriends.

I don't know if my liver or libido can survive another crash!!!!
