They do this all the time - jack up the price, then "reduce it" as a special and make you think you're saving $$$. It's really easy to catch on certain items (like when a bottle of wine goes up $2 but is on special for it's regular price :roll, but I'm sure less OCD shoppers think they're getting bargains!

Next time you are at Publix, check the price of Head On. You are going to give yourself permanent damage!

I JUST came into it; I ONLY watch Survivor and a few select History shows; thats what made me ; when I came in with my dinner and turned on the box...Ughhhhhhggg... Back to eating in the front room..

Nah - I only monitor the prices of crab legs, artichokes, raspberries, and meat when shopping as they fluctuate frequently.

I usually only notice the "special markup" on alcohol items - a 6 pack of cider or bottle of wine's price jumping $2 in a week is a cause for concern! ;-)

Not to rub it in, but the last few nights I've slept non-stop in high gear for nearly 10 hours. Apparently I owe some interest on my massive sleep debt!

Why do you keeping cooking such good and quality food for someone who doesn't appreciate it? Hell I'll even clean up the kitchen after dinner.

It probably has something to do with gas stations' gravy. I notice in small, rural areas, there is not the typical ten cent difference between grades -- usu only 3-5 cents.

Sorry you are having sleep problems. It is such a miserable feeling to lie in bed, tossing and turning, and not being able to sleep. I have been on Temazepam for years for insomnia, but still I'd have some sleepless nights if I was worried about something and couldn't get it off my mind. But recently I started taking Lexapro, and I sleep like a log. Plus the dreams are so nice I don't want them to stop. I can wake up from a dream and go right back to sleep and continue the dream. Lately I've been getting about 9-10 hours of sleep a night.

Also it helps me sleep better if I don't have any alcohol, or at least no more than a couple of glasses of wine with dinner.
