Thanks. Yes, it is a mess, and now the hole is covered with two huge steel plates. Every time a vehicle drives over it, it makes a really loud noise. Argh.Oh wow, sorry BR! What a muddy mess!![]()
Yes, because since it's on the city side of the water meter, the city pays for the damage. At first I thought it was on our side of the meter because water was pouring out from under our sod, like maybe our sprinkler system expoded. Thank goodness it won't cost us anything. At least it was in the street and not your house.
Though steel plates drive me nuts - don't know why they can't add some cushioning (recycled tire?) to make them quieter.
Sister is too. My nephews go to two different private schools in Dallas. So she is always on the road. I tell her to consider herself blessed because virtually in a blink of the eye, they'll be in college. One wants Stanford, the other will probably be at UT Austin (where I wanted to go but Mom wouldn't let me leave Tulane).Running kids all over Dallas tonight, literally! Listening to some Dread on the go!!. I guess that's not really a random thought but oh well.
