Allergy shots suck. I started getting them last week...one in each arm. Got'em yesterday and now both arms hurt and in between my shoulder blades. It happened last week too but I wasn't sure if it was from the shots or not. Now I know. I was off the charts for dust, trees, grasses, weeds, molds, cats and even dogs! I am allergic to living.
I've always known my allergies were bad but it's the first time I've been tested so it is official.

Me too Cheering--I feel very lazy and unmotivated--thought it was the pollen.

Oh! It's allergies and DST, then? I thought it was the 5 hours of sleep I'm getting every night...

Try accupuncture for allergies. I was a sufferer for YEARS.....did shots too..didn't help. I went to the turtle clinic last year and this year I have not had ANY problems with allergies!!! It worked.

Claritin, it's like crack for allergy sufferers.

Been on it for years but it doesn't make your allergies go away. Not so sure I'm adventurous enough to try accupuncture. I doubt if my insurance would cover it.
I just didn't realize the shots would make me feel like crap. Makes sense though. And then being allergic enough to have 2 shots doesn't help.

I feel like I want to scrub my eyeballs with a toothbrush, they are so itchy.

Thankfully I don't have that symptom at the moment but if I was petting your avatar I would!

Oh I don't miss the shot in the butt. Cortizon (I'm sure that's spelled wrong) is great, but the sore butt afterward isn't always worth it.
Go ahead sowal giggle and get it out of your system.

Me too. Although I don't recall ever actually seeing a movie at the Drive-In.

I was just talking to my dad about how we used to go to drive-in movies all the time until they closed down. It's such a fun concept, I always wonder why they became extinct.

Come visit. We have two within about a 30 minute drive. It is fun to relieve those good old memories!

Drive in movie - Apparently I drove people nuts playing with the horn of a Datsun pickup at one once.
Imagine that.

You make me so happy...
Back in the mid '90s, there was another trend I liked: Old movie theaters that were outfitted with tables, and you could have dinner during the movie. Not sure what happened with that. They had one near Nashville that I went to that had cheap, snack-y food, and when I moved to Atlanta we went to one that had real dinner. I loved that idea.

We have one here that's pretty successful. Haven't been there. We had another one that was only a year old, and it was cool. I went once. They had everything from dinner to snacks to drinks (a full bar). I loved it. Then one day about two months ago, the staff showed up to work and it was bolted up tight..with a sign that said.."sorry".
