I was relaying what I saw on the news. I am interested at what happens in the SEC and other schools. Ron Zook never had a 10-2 season nor did he lose 4 in a row to our biggest rival.

If we don't have a clue, fill us in.

In a nut, this is it: Shula was asked to make suggestions on how to improve things. He offered none. He was asked to fire assistants. He refused.

So he was fired. And that's it. It's not complicated

And BTW, I'm glad you know so much about who Alabama will/will not get. I don't know anything along those lines and I work on campus.

Your guess is as good as mine. I'll agree with Kurt on one thing - it won't be Saban or Spurrier. It could be one of the following or it could be someone no one has thought of:

Rich Rodriguez
Paul Johnson
Jim Grobe

I think football is just beyond ridiculous. If Alabama would give a good coach a chance to grow the team, regardless of losses to Auburn, then they just might get somewhere one day. I really can't stand the politics and win-win-win at all cost mindset... The sport has no soul...
