Knee replacement surgery must be very expensive.

It's the rehabilitation that's hail. Since they don't have shoulders, elbows, or wrists, they can't use crutches.

Wouldn't it be great if all the IDIOTS that have taken a ride on elephants for fun or better yet, the damm elephant "trainers"were required to carry those elephants around after surgery?

don't encourage her...

Dear Dr. Frankenstein,

You brought me into this mad world, so bite me. :moon:

Your loving eldest brother,

Do most only have knees in their 2 front legs (or not at all)? :idontno:

If you think about a cat, f'rinstance, they have a hip/shoulder on the front that goes down to the paw--no knee/elbow. On the back, they have a hip, and where our knee is they have an ankle. Most of the other mammals are similarly constructed.

Of course I know this because my high school mascot was the Red Elephant, which means I know a heck of a lot of elephant trivia.

[Insert stories from the circus here, complete with the one from Tennessee where they "hung" an elephant.]

Elephants never forget--lots of times they exact their own revenge...
