Anybody have the iPhone? I'm finally out of contract with Verizon and I've been wanting the iPhone since it came out. I'm a MAC who will never be a PC again.

Will it live up to my grandiose expectations, or will I be disappointed and sorry I left VZ? How's AT&T to deal with? I don't want it for the camera or the texting, I want it because it is sooooo cool

There is a cool app for iPhone that allows you to hold the phone up to the night sky, and it will show you which stars you should be seeing -- needs a little tweaking, but really cool.

I gotta get that one. Great more delays for others in my office while I am otherwise occupied.

A couple of the free books I downloaded are an app that scrolls like a teleprompter, you tip the iPhone to control the speed. It rocks.

tap&track is great for logging nutrition and exercise.

Shazam!!!!! want to know who is singning that song, click it and let it listen then it tells you.
I want a dispute resolver app. Hold it up in the middle of an arguement and let it weigh each side and decide who is right

I have had to log an issue with iPhone though because I'm sometimes having a problem with the call looking like it connects but then it isn't connected or they can only hear me. We are still troubleshooting that one. :idontno:

 I always thought the "sent from my iphone" tag was annoying too, but didn't know I could remove it!

I didn't either but it is gone now. I hated that thing. I want people to think I'm sitting in a dark, stuffy office when I email them from the beach!!!

I was working just outside the big Apple today, got semi-lost, and my iPhone saved me! :D I don't have a Garmin or whatever they're called, but now my iPhone's got my back....

I also bought a Plantronics Bluetooth compatible for 40 bucks at Target and it works great. So when I was driving this a.m., drinking my coffee, sun shining, Bluetooth in, listening to my iPhone music and using it for directions, I felt so -- well, to quote Fergie: I'm so 3008; you're so 2000 and LATE.....

initial and monthly costs?

it was $99.00 to buy the 8 gigiabyte 3G phone new. $40 dollars for a blue tooth at Target, because my old one didn't work, my new baby has no port for a plug-in headset, which I guess is now old skool? And I bought a must-have rubber hot pink protector case for 19.99. And a car charger for $40. And my husband does not go on here, thankfully.
Then the $29 dollars for activation of my new phone service with ATT, and 30 bucks a month to keep this little baby humming. ...and then of course, whatever monthly minute plan you choose.

A guy working in the store had a dog whistle app? And he kept saying, did you hear that? And I'd say no, and then the other girl behind the counter would say, ouch, stop that! I wonder if they were pulling my leg, could there really be a dog whistle app?

What does it do exactly? Is it like making a playlist?

Who you calling some iphoneless sourpuss?? Yeah, I'm jealous. Don't leave it on the seat of your unlocked car or take it to the beach and drop it in the wet sand, or get paint on it, or scratch it or... man, am I jealous...

It is free internet radio. All you have to do is list an artist and they will play songs and other artists that usually go along with the chosen artist. If you don't like a song, you give it a "thumbs down" and they won't play it again.

I typed in Wilson Pickett and have been lovin' it!!!

And, my hot-pink rubberized protective iPhone superhero suit will protect us from any kryptonite that comes our way.

Just downloaded the allrecipes.com spinner app. Funn stuff. I am going to drive around today back-to-school shopping. Then I'm going to pretend like I am such a busy mom, like the mom's they are always talking about in Woman's Day magazine. And I'm gonna pretend that I just don't know what to make for dinner tonight. Then I'm gonna whip this iPhone out, spin my recipe spinner and head to a supermarket. Now I could just figure it out now, before I leave, but where's the busy-mom's funn in that scenario?

:lolabove: I love it.

I always say I hate Woman's Day because I am a snob and can't possibly be old enough to need it, and tried to get them to stop sending it to me when Home magazine folded. But I end up reading the entire thing every month. Including the recipes.

This phone has absolutely rocked my world. I am sorry that all y'all have to listen to us gush. But you know how you hear a cool song and think oh, i've got to download that? And then forget? I've done it twice instantaneously.

And you know that lowercased "I've" in the graph above? If I had been posting from my iphone it would have fixed that for me.

Even when my babies WERE babies, I thought, Hey, I must be doing something wrong here -- I am just not busy or overwhelmed enough. I had always heard new mom's were SO busy they didn't have time to shower, or clean, or make meals, or get out of their pajamas. I was actually able to nap and shower, and make really nice meals, keep a really clean house, can vegetables in the summer, make my own pastas, etc.... So when I got pregnant with No. 2, I thought, oh, crap, I am IN for it now....being the mom of TWO will really make me busy....but alas, not so......I was still humming along at home, and started making pies and cakes for a caterer. I got so popular that I opened a small dessert cafe with my sister and we were really successful for 5 years. I hope I'm not divulging some big club secret, but motherhood is what you make it, and if you choose to be as overwhelmed as Woman's Day will have you believe you should be, you will be. Andif you choose to make it the best years of life, it can be that, too. {stepping of soapbox.}

Today I downloaded the free lightsaber. (That was after I used google maps to get to a friend's house 60 miles away and listened to free audiobooks all the way, all on my phone.) If I were the richest person in the whole world I would get everyone an iPhone so they could be happy like me. It's my favorite thing ever.

I meant to try the allrecipes.com - will definitely get it.

Ok, back with ATT since Friday and mad at them already. Friday, I could get emails but not send - took the phone back in yesterday and now I can't send OR receive. They blamed it on mediacon but I can send and receive on my home puter so, uhhhh, Att, I think it is something about the way you are programming the phone - boo, hiss...... And it is a 48 mile round trip to the Destin store from my house!!!

I did add the ap where you could record a ringtone - havent' tried it yet.
