I saw them at Memphis and I was around that age maybe a couple of years older. I was just going to tell DD that I was more or less just taking my younger sisters.;-)

yeah, right!;-)
and yes, lady, i woulda made funn of you too!

speaking of concerts, i have to say that bar none, the best concert i've ever been to (and there's been a lot) was Rod Stewart. I've seen him many times. One time even on the night of my divorce! Several years later, when I was dating mr. dd, i made him take me to see RS. He whined and complained all the way, saying he had no interest in seeing "that fruity sob". Anyway, he came away a fan. Love me some Rod! Hence........................

Obviously, we are within a couple of years apart in age. :D

I think we're all pretty close! Gee, none of the "youngsters" have chimed in on this in quite a while. Guess their generation ran out of good music :dunno:

The good music isn't in today's generation anyway. It was the 60's and the 70's. 80's had some good songs also. I liked some 50's, even though I wasn't born yet. Missed being born in 59 by 2 days! Not ashamed for people to know my age!

Brown Eyed Girl
Doctor My Eyes
Brand New Key (remember this)
Moon Shadow
Love Train

Oddly enough, my 18 yo son listens to many of the bands that we listened to. It was a happy day when he brought in the best of Credence CR. But on the other hand, I was driving his vehicle today and he had a CD in that shocked the crap out of me. We are going to have to have a talk, it was totally totally inappropriate and I mean TOTALLY.

I thought I brought my kids up "right". My daughter knows all the words to most of the songs posted here and my son does too. But, he listens to some of the same stuff you mentioned. :puke: . He rode with me to Fl. last year, and I made him listen to "good music" all the way there and back. Man, was he ever ready to get out of that car!
