Impeaching Trump is an automatic decision at this point, if it wasn't a couple of months ago.

I'm pretty sure the three musketeers (fitting because they believe modern firearms are evil) on this thread supported Clinton when he was impeached by the House (one of only 2 POTUS in history), supported Clinton when she destoyed hard drives and emails (nothing to see here because she said so) and supported Gore as he was flying around on his private planes telling everyone to reduce their carbon footprint.

In my opinion, using the power of the president and your personal attorney (Giulanni) to investigate a political opponent without going through (or at least informing) proper channels such as FBI and other intelligence agencies is an impeachable offense. Add to that the fact that the president is using his power and his voice to make unproven allegations of wrongdoing against the opponent and his son. That alone seals it for me. Never mind the fact that he pressured a foreign administrator of a non-ally, who he later states he suspected of corruption, to find incriminating evidence against the opponent. Also never mind the fact that he most likely withheld critical aid to this country that they needed to defend themselves against a hostile nation, whose dictator Trump is madly in love with. For the Democratic house to not go through with impeachment proceedings at this point would be a display of appalling weakness.

You and your buddies just don't get it. Why? Because you are still caught up in your zeal to "get Trump", and you still think this Republican vs. Democrat battle is real. It's mostly DC theater.

The levers and strings at a higher level are being manipulated to, primarlily, get rid of Biden, and pave the way for Warren or possibly Michelle Obama (haven't heard a peep out of them have ya?). Oh, and of course let's go after Trump, AGAIN, to keep the Leftie Crazies agitated and engaged, complete with protests full of screaming ugly people and the general standing in the chair waving the flag antics. When this all shakes out, Biden will be OUT, with rumors of prosecution but zero action. And Trump will be exonerated, AGAIN. And...the Leftie Crazies HYPOCRISY will be on full display.

I have some serious questions. Does anyone believe that the Senate will find President Trump guilty and remove him from office? If he is not found guilty by the Senate, does anyone really think this hurts his reelection chances, especially with today's political climate? I was looking at the timeline of the Nixon years. I also looked at who owned the Senate during the Clinton impeachment years. Whether Speaker Pelosi truly did not want to impeach the President in the beginning, for which she seemed to take a lot of heat from her own party, or she was waiting for the right cause. I think either case is going to be difficult without a mass exodus of loyalist in the President's party. Just my opinion.

Good analysis Bob Wells. Pelosi "knows where the bodies are buried". I think she is putting into practice "people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones". My take: Nancy obviously detests and is repulsed by Trump, but she RESPECTS him. She knows he is a fighter and will hit back...hard. Nancy, Chuckie, Meatball Nadler, Sheila Jackson, Maxine Waters, all have their own little schemes running. Nancy has been wise in trying to save the House Dem crazies from themselves..

As for being "difficult without a mass exodus of loyalist in the Pres' party": If the Leftie Crazies would just leave everything alone and focus on ideas like healthcare and less war, they will win. Bush and Trump ran on "less foreign intervention", less war overseas, and won. They then went on to bomb various countries; IF Trump will try and stay true to keeping us out of foreign wars, he will score points.
Other items that could contribute to a mass exodus: no wall (there is no wall), signing national red flag gun laws, a severe downturn in the economy.

I agree with you and Denny on this..no one really wants to see this s**t show it gets old and nothing that is really important gets done. It is the epitome of gotcha politics. Politics is the original reality TV and it has turned into a bad episode of Jersey Shore.
