Mother Teresa once said she would not attend a protest against war; but, rather, she would attend a stand for peace.
What would you stand for?
Here are some of my random thoughts from my own "stand for" list:
I am for children, well paid and respected teachers, honor and respect for elders, compassion for everyone, good behavior, manners, laughter, home grown food, positive reinforcement, critical thinking, emerald green waters, sugary white sand, pine trees swaying in the wind...adopting and rescuing animals...mountain hikes, inspiring music, and snow on Christmas Eve...

Ironically this apeared in my daily e-mail quotes from Abraham:
"You can't take sides against anything. If you would just leave the "against" part out; if you would just be one who is for things - you would live happily ever after..."
--- Abraham "
I am personally for "Evolution" in the broadest sense of the word, for mankind, science, intelligence, and religion/spirituality. This evolution is always a random, hit or miss kinda thing, but it always eventually makes for a better, promising world, for future generations.

Mother Teresa once said she would not attend a protest against war; but, rather, she would attend a stand for peace. It may be amazing that as different as we are politically, our values and likes are so similar. I agree with everything, although I do not think it is wrong to speak up about one's point of view on anything.

my Abraham emails have been sporadic lately, not sure what's up with that.
I agree with your evolution comment. I really think that much of the discord we experience in the world comes from the difference in rates of evolving...most of us don't understand the different levels...some do not even understand there are different levels..and sometimes it's difficult to know which is which.

I agree with much of your list; as well as:
*genuine sincerity
*BIG HUGS
*simple kindness
*delicious food and drink inspired, prepared & shared with love
*companionship interspersed w/ peaceful solitude
and especially... standing FOR rather than of AGAINST

I believe you should be able to speak your mind without threat of persecution, I believe you should be able to sing(even if you can't carry a note) and not worry about people laughing at you. I believe you should at least experience once in your life a true love, and also to be able to wiggle your toes in white sand and look at emerald waters.

love Mother Teresa!
I am all for:
tons of joy and big belly laughs!
good food
the best of education for children (according to Maria Montessori, its the only real way to achieve world peace)
caring for Planet Earth
being kind, loving and giving
open your mind
live and let live
manners
support of scientific exploration out the wazoo on all fronts!

Treating others with dignity and respect even when I don't particularly feel like they deserve it.
Feeling I can always learn something from those around me, even when that lesson may not be immediately obvious.
A fat and purring cat parked on my lap is one route to happiness.
Wanting to see others succeed and accomplish their goals- life shouldn't be a zero sum game.

Peace, in my own life and for the world. I'm also for parents that teach their children manners and common courtesy.

I'm for considering the lilies of the field. For me, anyway, and anyone else who finds value in that. A great surprise for me this spring -- three beautiful little patches of some sort of bulb blooming with tiny white bell shaped flowers. I don't know what they are but they're blooming at the same time as daffodils and I have decided I"m calling them my lilies of the field.
I'm for appreciating the color purple. Took a walk with my son a little while ago and appreciated oodles of little wild violets in the woods.
I'm for living with gusto.
I'm for enjoying as many babies belly laughing as possible.
I'm for enjoying these amazing wild silver hairs that I'm finally starting to sprout after years of waiting. They are hilarious and wild!
I'm very happy to see so many others are on the daily Abraham e-list. And I'm so glad they come 7 days a week!
