I don't have an Ipod either, but I have got to break down and get some sort of mp3 player. It has to be EASY. I was thinking of getting a Creative MuVu (I think that's right). It's like a jump drive, you just plug it into your hard drive and download.

I don't have an Ipod, though I have not ruled out ever getting one.

Anyway, my "up" stuff tends to be Flaming Lips (that Yeah Yeah Song is fun), White Stripes (Jack White really grinds it out), Red Hot Chili Peppers (funky!), VHS or Beta, The Rapture, Green Day,plenty of old school like the Isley Brothers,Stones, Beatles, Earth Wind and Fire, ZZTop, Zevon, Hendrix...slower more introspective stuff might be the Shins, or Jeff Buckley's cover of Hallelujah.

You got it! The first song is their class song--go figure, didn't even know they knew who Diana Ross is--and the last song is because of their 8th grade musical being "Grease." Also, I used the "Clean" version for every song.

I'm Coming Out--Diana Ross
Run It--Chris Brown
So Sick--Ne-Yo
SOS--Rihanna
Irreplaceable--Beyonce
This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race--Fall Out Boy
Glamorous--Fergie
Dani California--Red Hot Chili Peppers
The Sweet Escape--Gwen Stefani
Bad Day--Daniel Powter
Cupid's Chokehold/Breakfast in America--Gym Class Heroes
Makes Me Wonder--Maroon 5
We Go Together--John Travolta & Olivia Newton-John

Thanks!!!!We have a lot of these. I really like Rhianna. Sam has a major crush on Pete Wentz from FOB. It's her fav band. Is there a clean version of "Makes me Wonder"?;-) Did you see my post a week or so ago about this one? I played it at the carnival and had no idea of the words at the time. I was laying out in the sun listening to it on my ipod and the words were so clear. I was :yikes: that I had played it unknowingly for K-6 graders.

no ipod, but I love the way they sound. wouldn't use it for walking though, just cause I would prefer the peace of nature. but I would love one to be able to carry music with me in the car. I won't do it. too much downloading and stuff.

IF I had one though, I would definitely put some funky meters on there. cold play. miles davis. aretha. kidd rock. radiators. snoop. U2.

We HAD one of those, we've had a Rio and now Mr OL has a Sandisk. We also have 2 nanos and a little clip on shuffle. By far I like the nanos and the shuffle. Mr OL really likes his but he hasn't really used iTunes. He likes all his old cd's and loads them accordingly. The kids and I like more current music and use iTunes. It is sooo user friendly. Yes, it can be frustrating at times ( upgrades) but overall pretty easy. Hey, they even withstand the washing machine!!! Sam's is working fine...still a little cloudy but so what!!!

The creative muvu that we had was junk. I did buy it on Amazon as refurbished I think. I still paid like $80 for it and looking back, that was a mistake. The Muvu with the flip out USB might be better than what we had.

I didn't realize VHS or Beta ever made it out of Louisville!! Wow! I think they broke up though didn't they?
