our niece is graduating from high school and her party was today. i worked until 7 am then we drove up here - i am ready for some :sleeping:

I haven't been anywhere, dude. I have been outside all day bleaching the logs getting them ready for new stain.:blink: Thank goodness this only has to be done about every 5 years. I have bleached the deck, all three porches, the posts and all the way around the house except for the tall side. Hubby did all the tall stuff earlier in the spring, now it's my turn :bang:

don't we all lead exciting and glamorous lives when we aren't in sowal ? if you only knew how much i dread family get-togethers, you would realize how much i would rather be helping you bleach logs ! coming from a small anti-social family is a hindrance sometimes .....

That sounds like funn! In comparison I was at GTTBD's company picnic yesterday. 😱 It was about 97 degrees and 97% humidity! They actually tried to get me to participate in a sack race! :floor: :funn::rofl:

well, we are home now, survived the graduation. thank god we don't have to go thru that for another 2 years !

I survived this weekend as well. Planned on doing some cleaning and culling in guest bedroom closet. Went in the little used room and discovered there had been a slow water leak from the attic into the closet. We have a mess. It wasn't the AC unit, as suspected, but an OLD copper pipe that had been used for a humidifier back way before my day. The shut off valve had slowly disentegrated over time. Had the water damage guy come and assess. AT 9 am, plumber comes along with a crew to demo floor, walls and ceiling. Then they bring in the machines to dehumidify for 4 days. My patio looked like a garage sale...lost some clothes and washed and washed the rest. Heck of a way to clean out a closet!

Yes gulls, I was having a mini meltdown yesterday. Today looks a bit brighter as the workers will be here soon to start demo. Now, we have to decide whether to make a claim.
