It's really sad. From what I have heard of the tapes, it seems there is an underlying issue that we aren't privy to. Regardless of their problems, if any man raised a hand/fist at me or spoke to me like that, he'd be meeting several of my family members.

Great Tracy Morgan quote...

"The Mel Gibson tapes?calling women *****es and using the N- word, they ain't nothing but hiphop. He stole that concept from Lil Wayne."
? Tracy Morgan, weighing in on the actor's recorded rants, on The Tonight Show

I don't think is so much "WTH is wrong with Mel Gibson?", but "WTH is wrong with the woman who chooses to stay with him and have his baby?"

Anyone hitting anyone else in anger, especially stronger on weaker (regardless of sex), is wrong. From the male perspective: if you can't control yourself, or the situation, leave. It's not rocket science. If you know that you have personal control issues, and you still fall prey to provocation, then you deserve whatever punishment is due. "That's the way my momma/daddy/uncle Jim-Bob is/was" is no excuse. From the female perspective: if you can't control yourself, or fall prey to one who can't control themselves, but can't physically leave the immediate situation....take your lumps (one time only), wait for he/she to fall asleep......and leave. NEVER look back; never second-guess....it'll never "be better", no matter how many times they say they're sorry. I know that there are exceptions/extremes, but this is a main-stream response. For the others, wait for them to go to sleep.....

We are who/what we want to be; we are the keepers of ourselves, and the only ones who can effect change in our attitudes, decisions, situations, or personal behavior.
