SoWal Photos of the Year 2017

2017 brought many great events, adventures, sunsets and memories! Each and every year brings so many amazing photo opportunities in the South Walton area, starting on New Year’s Day and continuing every day – this past year even included a magical partial solar eclipse. Perhaps my most special moment was a chance encounter with three whitetail buck deer buck brothers casually feeding in the dunes along the beach. They seemed to be enjoying the sunset as much as I was and I couldn’t help but think they were beach bums like me.

Happy new year to everyone and make sure to get on the sand as much as you can!

If you’d like a piece of SoWal on your wall, stop by the Moon Creek Gallery in Grayton Beach, along with our Coastal and Classic Series, we introduced our Heritage Collection in 2017, with carefully selected Sinker Cypress planks milled from massive, virgin-growth logs lost for more than a century in the dark depths of the Choctawhatchee River in Walton County. True treasure recovered and re-purposed into heirloom frames.
