Beachy Brunch Spots in SoWal

March 27, 2020 by SoWal Staff

South Walton sunsets rival any worldwide, as do the spectacular sunrises. Wake up early to glimpse at one of those dazzling beauties and then head out for a fabulous brunch to fuel your day. Local restaurants offer their own twists on brunch, and our latest SoWal list showcases a few you simply must try.

Mama Clemenza’s
Dedicated to the art and love of all things breakfast, this Miramar Beach gem is open seven days a week from 8 am - 1 pm. Mama Clemenza’s offers dishes with a distinctively European flare. Eggs Benedict are served with prosciutto over a Yorkshire pudding muffin and hollandaise sauce. And if you have a sweet tooth, try the delicate homemade lemon curd ricotta pancakes or crepes. Buon appetito!  Miramar Beach

Stinky’s Fish Camp
The distinct flavors of New Orleans make guests of Stinky's ooh and aah with delight. The menu features Crab Cake Benedict, Crawfish Omelet, and the lightest, yummiest beignets outside of the French Quarter. Pair those culinary feats with buoyant live music for a winning brunch combination, Sundays from 10 am-3 pm. Dune Allen

The Bay
The Bay takes menu mainstays and spins them in a new direction. The Smoked Pork and Biscuits layer tender, slow-smoked pulled pork over a house made cheddar, herb and bacon studded biscuit - all topped with a perfectly fried egg.  Craving lunchtime fare? The BLT on buttery toasted Hawaiian bread showcases a fried egg and adding fried oysters gives it the perfect coastal crunch. Brunch is available on Sundays from 11 am - 2 pm. Santa Rosa Beach

The Red Bar
The Red Bar takes Sunday brunch to a new level. Eggs Benedict are swimming in yummy hollandaise, spicy killer Bloody Marys are a-flowin’, and ordering the Belgian Waffles when the revered owner is Belgium-born seems to me a no-brainer. At noon, local legends Dread Clampitt start jamming their bluegrass jazzy funk and the party really gets started. Sunday brunch is served from 11 am - 3 pm. Grayton Beach
