May 26, 2026 by Abby Eller

Summer is teeing up for a great day of sport and philanthropy as Emerald Coast Theatre Company (ECTC) launches its first-ever Charity Golf Tournament.

On Monday, June 29, 2026, golf enthusiasts, local business leaders, and arts advocates will gather at the beautiful Burnt Pine Golf Club in Sandestin for a 12 p.m. shotgun start. The inaugural event promises an afternoon packed with great food, refreshing drinks, exciting prizes, and unique on-course entertainment.

Often called the crown jewel of Florida golf, Burnt Pine Golf Club provides a breathtaking backdrop for the day, with its rolling fairways and pristine natural views overlooking the Choctawhatchee Bay. Before hitting the links, players will enjoy a delicious lunch provided by Firehouse Subs, followed by post-tournament food and celebration to wrap up the day. Throughout the course, golfers can look forward to complimentary beverages from local favorites and premium brands, including Tito's Handmade Vodka, Birdie Cocktails, and Odd Pelican Beer Company.

The tournament is turning up the competitive excitement with giveaways, player perks, and high-stakes contests. Every player receives a complimentary mulligan to help their score, but the true showstopper is the Hole-In-One Contest, where one lucky golfer has the chance to walk away with a luxury Rolex watch provided by McCaskill & Company.

"This tournament is such an exciting new way for our community to support ECTC while spending a beautiful day on one of Florida's most incredible golf courses," said Nathanael Fisher, ECTC's Producing Artistic Director. "Whether you're a longtime supporter of theatre arts education, a local business leader, or just someone who loves golf and giving back, this event brings people together to make a real impact for the next generation along the Emerald Coast."

All proceeds from the tournament will directly fund ECTC Youth Education Programs. These vital funds help support creative summer camps, after-school classes, specialized training opportunities, and scholarships for young performers. Additionally, the event helps expand community accessibility to the arts by reducing student tuition costs and funding educational theater field trips for local schools.

Player registration and a variety of corporate sponsorship opportunities are still open for those looking to get involved with one of the season's standout charitable gatherings.
