Sinfonia Gulf Coast Presents Toast ’N Jam: Sincerely, Sondheim With Nicholas Rodriguez Feb 15
January 23, 2026 by SoWal Staff
Valentine's Day weekend in South Walton just got a little more soulful. Broadway favorite Nicholas Rodriguez is returning to the coast for Toast ’n Jam: Sincerely, Sondheim, a special performance that celebrates the life and genius of the late Stephen Sondheim.
On Sunday, Feb. 15, at 10:30 a.m., fans will gather at Hotel Effie in Miramar Beach for a morning of brunch, storytelling, and world-class music.
Tickets for Toast ’n Jam: Sincerely, Sondheim are available at SinfoniaGulfCoast.org or by calling (850) 460-8800.

Nicholas Rodriguez is a familiar face to the Sinfonia Gulf Coast family, having previously wowed local audiences at events like Crescendo! and Holiday Pops. Fresh off the Tony Award-winning revival of Company, Rodriguez uses his soaring voice to lead a deeply personal program. The performance draws inspiration from Sondheim’s own handwritten letters, weaving together songs and memories that explore the composer’s relationships with other legendary figures like Oscar Hammerstein II and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
“This concert is everything we love about Sinfonia Gulf Coast—extraordinary artists, meaningful storytelling and music that speaks straight to the heart,” says Demetrius Fuller, founder and music director of Sinfonia Gulf Coast. “Celebrating Stephen Sondheim’s legacy with Nicholas Rodriguez during our 20th anniversary season makes this a truly special moment, and sharing it as a Valentine’s weekend experience makes it a must-not-miss gift for the Emerald Coast.”
Joining Rodriguez on the piano is the highly decorated John McDaniel. As a Grammy and Emmy Award-winning music director, McDaniel’s fingers have graced the keys for Broadway hits like Chicago and Annie Get Your Gun. Together, the duo will bring beloved selections from Into the Woods and Sunday in the Park with George to the intimate setting of the Hotel Effie ballroom.
Every ticket supports a great cause. Proceeds from the event benefit Sinfonia Gulf Coast and its mission to bring music education to children across Northwest Florida. Since 2005, the organization has reached over 250,000 students through its outreach initiatives, ensuring the next generation of musicians has a stage to play on.
Tickets for the brunch and performance are $125 per person, which includes the meal and gratuities. If you want to be right in the middle of the action, limited front-row seating is available for $195. Because these performances often sell out, Sinfonia recommends purchasing your seats early.
