Video: YOLO Board 2011 Race Series at WaterColor - Race Four

The fourth and final race in the Summer 2011 series included a celebrity appearance by Ingo Rademacher as the sun set on Western Lake at WaterColor BoatHouse on August 11. The fourth annual YOLO Board Stand-Up Paddle Series ran from May 2011 to August 2011 and consisted of male and female teams competing relay style in two divisions, Beginning and Next Level (men's), over the course of four races.
The community event showcases a wide spectrum of local faces with teams representing anything from the South Walton Fire District Lifeguards to real estate agents to area chefs.
Over 112 local paddlers participated in the race season this year. The final race was followed by an awards presentation ceremony and paddler gathering.
Overall winners of the Next Level were Team YOLO members Ross Carter, Justin Cook and Kyle Gallagher, followed by Team GUSU in second and the Wells Fargo Advisors team in third. Parker Carroum, Mike Ingram, Matt Magera and Dylan Simms of the Billabong Destin team earned top honors in the Men’s Division followed by the YOLO Jr’s and a tie for third between Laser Awesome and Team Sandestin. Winners of the Women’s Division were the Grayton Beer team composed of Donna Bandy, Amy Buchanan, Bernadette Leach and Gina Seton followed by Salon Twist and Bistro Bijoux.
In the fourth race, Matt McDonald, Travis Roach and Elliot of Team GUSU finished first for their first victory in the Next Level division followed by teams Team YOLO and Wells Fargo Advisors. Team Billabong Destin topped the Men’s Division for the third race in a row followed by Laser Awesome and the Sandestin team. The Grayton Beer ladies won the Women’s Division race followed by Salon Twist and For the Health of It in second and third place.
