The Cultural Arts Association (CAA) Adult Educational Grant Program (AEGP) is designed to assist practicing and emerging artists who are members of the CAA residing in Walton County, Florida. The program provides support for the individual artist to take advantage of specific skill-building educational opportunities to advance their work. Artists of every discipline of cultural art are eligible to submit an application including Fine Arts, Performing Arts, and Literary Arts. Project oriented applications are not eligible nor will funds be awarded for the completion of a specific piece of work, nor for the education of others, nor for activities specifically related to other existing CAA grant programs.

Examples of educational opportunities eligible for support include, but are not limited to:
? Attending advanced workshops, master classes or seminars.
? Participation in a performance or exhibition opportunity of significance.
? Activities that enable the artist to acquire techniques that improve abilities.

Grants will be awarded in an amount up to $1,000.00. Applicants should only request the amount necessary for the educational opportunity. Awarded grants will be on a matching basis, 25% of the costs should be raised by the applicant and 75% of the requested amount granted by the CAA. Applicants are eligible to submit only one application annually. A grant must be completed before applying for an additional grant.

Applications are encouraged from any artist member of the Association residing in Walton Co. FL. Applicants agree to remain a resident of Walton Co. FL through completion of the grant requirements.



To be eligible for a CAA Adult Educational Grant, the applicant must:
  • Be a member in good standing of the CAA
  • Be a legal resident of Walton County, Florida
  • Be a creative, performing or literary artist at least 18 years of age
  • Not be a full time student pursuing and undergraduate or graduate program ( which are addressed by other existing CAA programs)
  • Not be a member of the CAA Board of Directors, nor a member of any of the CAA grants committees
  • Submit a complete application and four copies committee review on or before the postmark deadline. The applicant should retain a copy for their records.
  • Submit a non-refundable application fee of $25 along with the completed application. If a grant application is accepted, and a grant awarded, the $25 application fee will be considered as applying toward the 25% matching portion of the grant.
