I am heading out to Glendale for the game and was wondering if there was anyone on the board heading out. I am glad we are finally down to the last two weeks.

Also, I have friends who are still looking for tickets in case anyone has any extras. They are watching the usual websites (Stubhub, eBay, etc.) but if you know of anything else shoot me a PM.

I sure hope none of you had flights from ATL to Phoenix today to get to the BCS. Looks like they're all canceled. How disappointing would that be? :( Hopefully everyone left at least by yesterday so they can party today.

:wave:From what I can tell, most of us are already here and ready. I heard there were so many people for the Auburn pep rally they had to stop letting people in. This story about Stubhub will tell show how crazy the ticket situation is.

Doesn't look like much is melting here in the ATL. You guys may have some trouble getting back tomorrow. But, what the heck, just celebrate an extra day.

Congratulations, AU. My wife flew out from Birmingham on Friday and was supposed to fly back to BHM through ATL yesterday, and that obviously got cancelled, and she would have been in PHX until Thursday. She was able to switch to a PHX>MEM flight, so I drove to Memphis to pick her up yesterday.

Roll Tide anyway,

Like I said on another thread, our dentist who is a big Auburn fan got stranded in AZ and can't get a flight to ATL until tomorrow. He closed his office for the entire week as a result. Our daughter is happy because they cancelled her appointment that she was dreading.

As of yesterday there were people who went to the game, were lucky enough to get a flight to ATL, and then were stranded at the airport because they couldn't drive the rest of the way home due to icy roads. :bang:

Yep; snow and ice definitely throw a wrench in travel in the Southeast. As of early yesterday morning, she could have gotten her flights to Salt Lake & ATL, but due to the ATL>BHM cancellation, she couldn't check in at the kiosk, had to go to a special line, and by then was too late for PHX>SLC. I remember last year, I was here in B'ham watching our BCS game and my wife was at Market in ATL and there were icy road conditions between here and there; there seems to be something about snow/ice and teams from Alabama playing in the BCS...

That's right about the ice storm the weekend of last year's BCS! Our daughter's engagement party was that weekend, and we were afraid we'd have to postpone it.

I flew Phoenix to Houston to PCB yesterday - no problem. Had friends stranded in PHX that were on Delta and on their way back in today.

Now, on to the game...........what can I say - typical Auburn game in that they almost gave me a heart attack!!! I should have know better to start jumping up and down and screaming with 10 seconds left on the clock - longest 10 seconds of MY life!!! but, being in the stands and actually experiencing the whole thing was unreal!!! The stands were easily 70-30 Auburn - just my guess but lots more orange and blue than highlighter yellow and green. A once in a lifetime experience for me, for sure!!! It was so incredible to see all the orange and blue on the way out and on the way back - and I've got to hand it to Southwest - they were fun and helped us cheer on the way out and back!!

When I say this experience rates second only to the birth of my child - some people look at me strange but if they are Auburn peeps, they totally understand!!

WDE!!!

The state of Alabama to have back to back Heismens and back to back National Champs - totally AUsome!!!
