Slept in so we got a late start. Raining sideways. Loaded up the Battle Wagon..... Took a pic
Lots of traffic on 55 and 331..... Hit I65 and eased up to "cruising" speed
and then this happened
what you can't see is that 85% of the tire is 1/2 a mile behind us
So here are some "Cudos" or "Kudos" which ever sparks you plug
to Verizon, Gorum Towing, Greenville Automotive, The Chevy Dealer in Greenville and most of all a Good Samaritan who pulled over behind us. He, a man of the cloth and his wife would not be satisfied till they helped us. In order not to unload my truck to access the jack they brought theirs out. Problems was on Burbs and Tahoes the spare tire is locked to the truck. Since our truck was stolen a few years back the "entire" truck was rekeyed.... They forgot to rekey the spare tire key so that was a no to.
I called Verizon and ask for a tow truck in Georgiana, got the guy right on the phone. He suggested a tow to the Chevy Dealer in Greenville (only a couple of miles up the freeway) but I had 4 kids and GB..... So the Good Samaritan loaded up my crew and took them to the dealer. I arrived later is style
My tow bill was only $75 and Greenville Automotive (The Chevy Dealer) charged me $15 for changing my tire and making me a new key
Now I have this very stylish new wheel and tire
